Give it to Ron Posted 16 June, 2009 Share Posted 16 June, 2009 That action is very questionable isn't it.....not far off a chucker but he is very accurate with his yorker.

Hatch Posted 16 June, 2009 Share Posted 16 June, 2009 People keep saying that he is within the rules. That doesn't mean he is right, what it means is, is that the rules are wrong.
Trader Posted 16 June, 2009 Share Posted 16 June, 2009 I think Malinga's brilliant - at least he's a bit different, and does deliver the ball with a straight arm. I know they're both spinners and have been called into question before, but I consider both Muralitharan and Botha's actions to be dodgier. Watch them in slo-mo and I reckon they're both chuckers. 70's Mike Posted 16 June, 2009 Share Posted 16 June, 2009 apparently he has a medical reason why arm has to be so low, strange thing is he is not quite as effective in rest cricket

St Chalet Posted 16 June, 2009 Share Posted 16 June, 2009 Malinga is a chucker end of. Arm may be straight but his wrist is c o c ked at release point. Should be called IMHO.
L1Minus10 Posted 16 June, 2009 Share Posted 16 June, 2009 When they repeatedly cleared Murali they opened a can of worms. Murali is a chucker, end of. Birth defect my arse. I loved that quote from Bishen Bedi where he said something along the lines of all Murali's wickets should be declared run outs. I don't have a problem with Malinga as his arm is straight - it's just odd and pretty amazing that he's that accurate..
