It's true let's hope they can bring it home as I am now concerned

I too am concerned, now, as I thought you knew someone close to Pinnacle ? (only from posts of course)

Just read what you posted on other thread !!

Just said on the South Today bulletin that Pinnacle have NOT had formal contact with KK over a "roll" at the club.

So if they haven't had formal contact, that means they've had informal contact. Otherwise they'd just say they've had no contact.....

True, but possibly sounding him out (may be during a golf day) is different than interviewing him or offering him the job.

its a bit of a chicken and egg situation. they (pinnacle) have to have the new board approved by the league/fa and until they get that they won't make any announcement re the club purchase. until they are actually in a position to say that they are the new owners they can't formally announce any appointments. IMHO?

TBF they have said what they mean several times up until now so if they say KK is not on route then there is no reason to not believe them.

Crouchs words can be taken with a pinch of salt though and could mean absolutly anything.

But why come out and rubbish this? They've said nothing about all of the other carp flying around but actually contact the BBC to tell them there is 'nothing' in THIS story.

No, he applied for the Car Park Attendants job.........

PS, I for one do NOT want KK as Manager ..... First sign of stress, and he'd be off IMHO

What possible stress could he be under here? We are at our lowest point for....just about ever. Any year by year improvement will be good enough for the board and most of the fans TBH. If after 3 years we are still in League 1, then both he and the board could reassess the situation.

I actually think if he did take over here, he would be a massive success.

Well the pics are on the front page of Leon Crouch and MLT and a seperate pic of KK, but the Echo seem to think its happening.

Crossed my mind on reading the original article,is it all three of them or seperate photos.I just couldn't believe they would be stupid enough to try and dupe people with seperate photos !

When (His) Team are winning, he's fine ..... (most people would be)

But when results go against him, and he has to MANAGE, he disintegrates like a cardboard box in a thunderstorm ........

NOT the one for me, I'm afraid ....... (so therefore he's a nailed on certainty)

My memory may be a bit fuzzy but what was Keegan's success at Man City? a promotion from the CCC to the Premier League. Joe Royle took city from L1 to the Premier League in successive seasons and like so many other clubs they only held on to their premier league status for 1 year.

However, Royle not Keegan was the catalyst for their revival so whatever happens let's not allow history to be rewritten on the unjustified belief that a KK media circus would add 10k to the gate beyond the first few games.

Good to see Crouch shunning the limelight and sprinkling his fairy dust again.

Still, must go and put on my vest and underpants as I'm off down the gym to watch some reruns of 3 lions on the shirt and all that.

whilst i join with the excitement I think we should worry about the deal going through first.

Im a little perturbed by some of the comments by people who are said to be closer to the deal than most.If Doggface's info is correct then we should be a little concerned.

I think we are getting close to the next wages being paid and also at this time of year Loyalty bonusses etc are due to be paid to the playing staff. that would be quite a wedge.

He'll do for me.

He's better than any manager we've appointed since WGS....

Call me nostalgic, but for me the happiest times for me as a fan growing up was when KK and MC were playing...no-one under 25 may get that (just generalising) but you had to be there to appreciate how OUR CLUB was viewed back then.

No-one cared who was in the Boardroom then, all that mattered was who picked the team and how many goals we scored....

Saints 8 - Coventry 2 anyone? (thanks Perry Suckling)

Saints 5 - Coventry 5?

Saints 3 - Man U 2?

The 84 Cup Run?

The 86 Cup Run?

THAT goal against Liverpool?

I'm welling up just thinking about it.

Keegan is a legend in football he would attract decent players are backer cleary has money as keegan only joins a club if hes promised x y and z so im sure were end up spending 2mill on players from championship and league one teams and keegan woud also be on a good contract probs championship or low prem league wages keegan is a smart man he wants decent money for himself and for him to use to buy players otherwise he wouldnt consider.

I for one would be in full support of Keegan's appointment. After years of apathy and disillusionment from many supporters, he would certainly generate a buzz around the place and get people fully behind the club again. I agree he may not be the strongest tactician in the world, but we could do a lot worse. He would certainly be someone the fans could rally around.

If we don't go for an up and coming younger manager like Tisdale, then I would much prefer Keegan over someone like Dowie, whose name has been mentioned elsewhere. Keegan would definitely be beneficial to us in terms of attracting players to the club, League 1 is hardly a big draw.

I will run round Southampton naked if Keegan is manger and MLT is chairman.

To be fair, you do that whenever the day has a 'y' in it...
