Patrick Bateman Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Is that any good? I had a free upgrade according to Virgin but that doesn't mean anything to me. Could someone explain it as what's upload 0.24 and ping 71ms? If you were upgraded from 2 to 10, then that's spot on.
Patrick Bateman Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 That speed reading looks wrong to me Stu - message me on Facebook.
Mole Posted 18 June, 2009 Posted 18 June, 2009 Yes, now it's only Norton itself that is making it run in treacle. It does what i want it to do and i've not had a problem with nortons.
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 18 June, 2009 Author Posted 18 June, 2009 man my ping is ****! So what you're saying is your ping pongs!
Weston Saint Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Well I am having problems since they upgraded my line. BT have already dug up outside. Built a new junction box, new cable but still they cannot find the problem.
stevegrant Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 Exactly as I would expect. Mustn't grumble for the princely outlay of £0.00 per month, tbf.
Danny Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 10mb connection, but we all know that varies due to various things. However, in two weeks I get a 50mb connection for free!
St Landrew Posted 22 June, 2009 Posted 22 June, 2009 It does what i want it to do and i've not had a problem with nortons. Never liked Nortons. Always preferred Hondas and Triumphs. The Suzuki I owned was crap too. Now my Lambretta was great.
St Landrew Posted 23 June, 2009 Posted 23 June, 2009 (edited) How's about that then..? Can I just say that I'm not going to be with my ISP for very much longer. But at least they're best at something. EDIT: WSS must be on dial up or ISDN..! Edited 23 June, 2009 by St Landrew
Saint in Paradise Posted 23 June, 2009 Posted 23 June, 2009 Quite good seeing as that is from Alaska to NZ

EDIT: WSS must be on dial up or ISDN..!Think you mean me. No my average was 7MB before a line upgrade on 11th June. That is when the problem started!! They are still scratching their heads as to why the speed is so low!

Mr Nice Posted 23 June, 2009 Posted 23 June, 2009 About time virgin media started putting digital in the east of southampton and to create some kind of competition for retentions. I am considering going over to BE for price and speed.

Ash Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 The lower the speed the more desireable the location. I don't expect to lose top spot. You slum dweller.
Wurzel Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Is there anyway to increase upload speed? or is that down to the IP?
