Give it to Ron Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Where have I stated I want Wotte to stay? That decision is Pinnacles and I will be happy with what they go along with. But if they are having problems nailing down a manager and they want to keep Wotte in the interim, I will have no problems with that. This is nothing to do with Lowe, just idiots like yourself. Idiots like yourself....why because I have a different view on what I would like Pinnacle to do than you? Nice ...so retorting to name calling is proving you are so intelligent that you cannot fathom out that some of us think Wotte shouldn't be kept on no matter by who is in charge? What bearing does this have on Pinnacles decision...bugger all its just my opinion that I think he is poor and even someone like Hockaday/Henderson could do a job in the interim.
saintjay77 Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Nothing to do with being Lowe's puppet....my problem with Wotte is based solely on his performance here as manager. As for the bit below then Hockaday was also put out of the dream team like JP wasn't he? quote) All of the managers at the club were part of that same team. So by that reckoning Hockoday and the others should also be gone because that "Management team" failed. Sorry I wasnt trying to suggest thats what you thought. Just what it can appear like sometimes. Your arguments are allot more valid than some so im not trying to have a pop at you. And I might not have chosen the best name when refering to the rest of the management team but you get my point lol
grammy Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Yet another completely pointless thread. Nobodys gona be told anything until we are taken over. Get a life and find somethin else to take your mind off it til friday!
Frank's cousin Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 I think there is possible the additional dilemma here for amny of us - the personal belief that Wotte despite his professionalism and dignity is not fans choice to take us forward as most dont eblieve he has teh necssary skills or experience - yet many of teh same want to be 100% behind MLT and pinnacle when that goes through as its important we all get behind the new deal - possibly even if it included Wotte in some coaching capacity... I think thats why some dont ahve a problem with him staying in a different role. Also, it may be that the new regime have a target who is unavailable until say next year or CHristmas and might be looking for Wotte to saty in teh interim...who knows..?
Window Cleaner Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 find somethin else to take your mind off it til friday! Or even longer. Nothing will happen on Friday as usual.

I think should he stay it will be more down to the above reason than Pinnacle thinking he is the right man for the job. And on the face of it thats why I would be happy with it. I would rather the temp solution be the one that already has a head start on next season than bring in someone else to hold the fort till they get thier man in 6 to 12 months time. Lowe was rightly slated for chopping and changing managers so often so I would rather Pinnacle hold fire till they can get the right man if they have to wait.

um pahars Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 those who seem hell bent o seeing Wotte booted into touch in some sort of pathetic schardenfreude joy moment - which suggests they dont get out much -. Who are all these people then?? You even tried to label me as one of them a few weeks ago, which couldn't be farther from the truth. As Give It To Ron has said, methinks that once again the problem is with the reader (i.e. you) who is seeing something that doesn't exist. The overwhelming majority of supporters appear to be basing their thoughts about Wotte solely on his performance as a part of the Revolutionary Coaching Set Up and then on his subsequent performance when he was solely in charge. You seem to be rather precious if you think football fans on a message board suggesting they don't want a "failed manager" in charge next season demonstrates schardenfreude.

saintjay77 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Wotte is now looking forward to welcoming Tisdale to SMS. When Exeter play on Boxing day rather than as Saints Manager. Either Wotte has been told he is staying or he has been told he still has a chance. Cause the way he is talking it certainly doesnt sound like he is about to jet off to Egypt. ???

um pahars Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 UP Just read the this and other Wotte threads... Well feel free to point us in the direction of all these posts, as in my book schadenfreude is gaining pleasure in another person's misfortune and I'm afraid I haven't seen that on this thread (nor on others). Sure some are suggesting Wotte shouldn't be near the first team because they think he is shyte, but that's not schadenfreude. Either you don't know the meaning of the word or as Ron has said you're reading things that just aren't there (and as you seem to be an expert on the latter then I'm guessing you know what schadenfreude means).

Windmill Arm 2 Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 If Wotte is still manager of Southampton FC when we kick off against Millwall then I will be in absolute dispair at the lack of ambition shown by the club. Wotte is a clown, he is not fit for purpose and should be shown the door, he oversaw our relegation, he watched Poortaloo fukc it all up then allowed it to continue under his own tenure. If you want Wotte to stay then I question your ambition for this once great club. A CLEAN SWEEP is a must. In any case I can't see LeGod allowing him to stay on.
