Saint Martini Posted 29 August, 2008 Posted 29 August, 2008 Can anyone talk me through it? PM me if you can help.
Saint Martini Posted 30 August, 2008 Author Posted 30 August, 2008 I checked there, they don't have my router listed... :s
Saint Martini Posted 30 August, 2008 Author Posted 30 August, 2008 I tried it with one of the other Siemens routers and the steps seemed similar to what I have but at the last step I don't really get what I have to do. http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Siemens/GigasetSE551/Football_Manager_2006.htm At the bottom it says: We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. I don't see those lines and I haven't got a clue how to open the 10093-10094 ports. Is it me or is that description rather vague?
exit2 Posted 30 August, 2008 Posted 30 August, 2008 basic port forwarding is to 1. create a rule / application i.e FM08 2. type in the port numbers 10093-94 and the type inthe local address of your pc / server on your network (192.168.0.1 or what ever it is) This also depends on if you have a static ip for your router. Basically any network traffic on ports 10093 hits your router and it then forwards to your pc/ server
Saint Martini Posted 30 August, 2008 Author Posted 30 August, 2008 As you see on the last picture on the link I posted there's local and public ports, where do I type the 10093-10094?
Saint Martini Posted 30 August, 2008 Author Posted 30 August, 2008 I think I might have it working but I'm not entirely sure. I can get it working between my two home computers now but then its listed as a local network. Would that make a difference? Is there perhaps someone I could test it with?
