Adebayor can't play for another English club until January, as he was released after the end of the transfer window. He can however play immediately for a foreign club. Clearly a ploy by Spurs to release him now so that he can't play for another English team. For what it's worth, we shouldn't go anywhere near him.

Except that Bournemouth often play with only 2 central midfielders and 2 strikers, so their centre mids have to get forward and support their attack.

Thought he was impressive in the few Bournemouth games I've seen this season. Transformed himself into a fine Central Midfielder. IIRC he had the highest pass completion rate in the league after the first 3 games. Shame that he's 29 now, or I'd have him back for sure.

Going out on a limb here, but if we sign both Koulibaly and Van Dijk that could possibly means Koeman wants to play 5-3-2 again. That would definitely suit our current players in my opinion much more than the current set up. Would allow Bertrand/Cedric to bomb on, and allow us to build the team around Mane by playing him off Pele through the middle. Get em both Ron

I was thinking this too. Would certainly fit the bill. I'd be pretty happy if we were to sign him.
