yes, only 2 teams leave the prem and join the ccc, and 3 teams leave the ccc and join the prem. this leaves the ccc a team short. IF this were to happen, I think a only 2 will be relegated from the ccc. edit, reread your comment & feel abit stupid now, too much beer.

which is a very similar argument to... See Claus gets it. I am still happy to get a shirt without an add on the front, but not as happy as I was when I thought it would be red and white striped.
-
that's my argument against the sash I do see your point though and quite like this effort taken from the other thread.
-
Sorry to be pedantic but under the sleeves are white as well. For 112 out of the 125 year history Saints have played in Stripes. I associate stripes with Saints & versa visa. interestingly that was the centenary shirt.
-
Agreed & it will be nice to have a real shirt and not one of the ill fitting retro's for a change. great move by the club but I hope they keep the red and white stripes.

I am delighted with Saints progress this season. Pardew said his target was mid table by Christmas and push on from there. this has been achieved and we are still in 2 out of 3 cup competitions.we've strengthened our squad in januray and I dont think many saints fans would say they were unhappy with our progress. this is IMHO true, but in all fairness what would a discussion forum be without an opposite point of view. I know I wouldn't visit the site as much (& parted with cash) if it was all happy clappy. It is unfortunate that sometimes posters cant reply with anything other than childish snipes. I can't understand why people haven't learned not to feed trolls. If were are not top 6 this time next year (probably top 2) I think there will be 3 groups... 1... Pardew Out, (& everyone else if a fortune hasn't been spent) 2... Give the time, they've been unlucky, give the till the end of the season & hope for the playoffs, no need to change things until the summer. 3... everything is sound, there's no problem IN ML, NC & AP WE TRUST get behind the team. Do you remember when we were to big for the CCC... we were going to walk it. brilliant, fyi that glass is (surprisingly) half empty*

that really made me chuckle. I'm glad to see that Saints have brought, there are a lot of 'must win' games to go to & Pardew is right to make sure that DC is not rushed back, he has also said that Lambert is going to need a rest at some stage, as others have said it is a squad game.

I know what your saying and I argued against using the lack of a pre season as an excuse during our slow start, but when you look at the results in hindsight it is hard to see any other reason for our poor beginning to the season. nothing wrong with being ambitious, and the Playoffs are a realistic target, but sometimes targets are missed. I expect us to finish top half this season, if we are within 3 points from 6th place on the morning of may 8th I will consider this season a success. going from rock bottom to 11th place by the end of january is progress, and remember that we only need to finish in the playoffs.

Buying "restricted sale" tickets online

lol that's why I added the edit, but yes there is that voice in the back of the my head. "it is Saints, you know? do you need to take off the red and white tinted glasses?" is what it asks, but it is getting quieter. I have to say it is an exciting time to be a Saints Fan, even if the play-offs are looking less likely. -
empty your wallets for the blue few, donate those out of date johnies

Buying "restricted sale" tickets online
westofshannonsaint replied to kpturner's topic in The Saints
I know tickets for Wembley are going to be like gold dust, but if anyone does have a spare ticket please remember the Overseas Saints, Ive booked the time off (not confirmed because of my stupid job), but think I will book the flights anyway & head over in hope and end up watching the game in a pub near the ground. ...so if anyone can spare a ticket please keep the Overseas Saints in mind. *I am quite confident about saints for the first time in years, the smile is plastered across my face with the thoughts of the Saints resurgence. the future is bright.... its Red and White. -
If NC and ML left Saints in the morning I think(hope) they will be leaving SAINTS in a better position than when they took over & for that I will be eternally grateful. Reading NC's comments sent a shiver down my spine, it's the first time i think I have ever heard any real ambition coming from the club I love. ...makes me think what would be a better achievement; a) winning the champions league as part of the board with the mighty AC milan? or b) winning the champions league with a club that you helped save from extinction and guide them to the top? Why has Leibherr done this for Cortese? Is he just financing a mate who thinks he can run a football club? If Cortese was to leave I hope Liebherr will appoint a suitable replacement to protect his investment & again we are in a better position than we were last april. thisishampshire.net probably the same company, but not a direct link and useful because the echo, along with this and any other saints related site are blocked in work.

may I suggest that it would be unwise to call Roy Keane British (to his face anyway) I quite like Keano, he wants to win even if that means being a nasty c*nt. I don't like that he took pleasure seeing Saints relegated, but I can kind of understand it from his point of view - We were a Utd bogey team, with a prawn sandwich munching chairman, who seen staying up as an achievement.
-
when you look at the results, the lack of a pre-season really effected us, and if we continue on form we might be in with a shout. It's what I hoped for at the start of the season. if we are within 3 points off 6th spot on the last day of the season I will consider it a success, and it is possible.
-
OK, what do you think?

it might be interesting to know what Nicola thinks about the discussions on here.

nice...

...I wonder what % the sell-on clause is, it could be a good bit of business for Saints, especially if he doesn't fit in with AP's plans.

I'd happily pay an extra few quid for a shirt with no sponsor, my retro is looking a bit faded & I hate wearing an add for some random company. oh I do quite like the idea of bringing back draper tools though.
-
is this the site you mean? I can't see many Saints references there! plenty of threads about ManUre, but none about us.

a subtle but (imho) correct difference, I have too much guiness in me to go messing about with excel so I will leave it to someone else to give points ter game required & all that (I normally get something wrong anyway)
