Hang on a minute, when I clicked the link I was told they were looking for men from Manchester!

Article also says fee is the issue for Edouard and that we may go for a cheap option from top club academy Pretty depressing read really

Queuing up at Villa Park

Agreed - after a shite day at work his posts have cheered me right up before I hit the pub!

What evidence do you want? Mural was defaced after the game. A friend of mine, who runs the project behind the original mural, went down early on Monday morning and covered it up. It's since been painted over by the original artist

Intent isn't a factor anymore It is whether it was reckless or not

Bloom has put £394m into Brighton over the last 10 years. £300m in loans and the rest as equity. I wonder if he is expecting those loans to be repaid?
-
No - I paid our deposits using our credits

Liverpool have a scheme whereby each season ticket holder can nominate 2 or 3 people to share their ticket with. These people can download the ticket to their own device. Sounds like a good idea to me. Although it may not work for saints as there is no waiting list to get a season ticket so could lead to a drop in sales.
-
Any mention of how many season ticket holders we ended up with? Due to local lockdowns I wasn't eligible for any of the games played in Dec but as a s/t holder I must be in with a decent chance if they allow around 8k fans in. Already booked a half day off work in hope!

Vestergaard available after red card overturned.

Just checked and Palace are at home on the 15th so presumably that game would get moved so they get fans in. So if all the games move then we could play palace on 15th and leeds on 19th. If no changes and no fans then probaly palace on the 19th
-
I think there are still talks about moving the penultimate Saturday games to midweek before the final round so that every team gets fans in. If that happens it could impact when we play Palace. Can't think of any other reason why it hasn't been set yet.

I've not seen the interview but don't think you can both be right!!

The loan will be on the books now - just doesn't need repaying for 5 years but it will have reduced the net assets on the balance sheet by the amount of the loan we have utilised. That will just make it harder for Gao to support his asking price as there will be more of a goodwill element to the transaction. It is difficult to see how much of a return can be made on Saints. If they are looking to increase value and sell then that is dependent on success, increased commercial revenues and then finding someone to buy it off them. Otherwise it will be looking for income on the investment which would mean taking money out of the club Given current losses I think Gao will struggle to get his £180m asking price. There aren't many individuals with both the resources and desire to own a football club. And as has been shown with DaGrossa it is not easy getting a consortium together unless you end up like Burnley and whack the debt on the club.
-
The owners of Leicester, West Ham and Newcastle have all invested zero in the last 5 years (source: their annual accounts). Same as Gao. So it is fair to criticise him for the way he runs the club but he is similar to others when it comes to putting money in. I'm not a fan of him given his dodgy past and the LD Sports fiasco. But I'm also concerned we could end up with worse. Equally I wouldn't be surprised if he starts trying to take money out of the club in next few years.
-
Not sure what criteria you are using to judge worst owner At least he hasn't taken money out like the Glaziers, saddled the club with debt like Bolton's new lot. Think West Ham and Newcastle fans would disagree as well. I'm not saying he is any good and I'm not a fan of his but he is similar to several others who don't bankroll the club either. If we get sold it is unlikely to be to a rich benefactor and more likely to a hedge fund type who will want a return. That could be worse.

I've known a few agents over the years including an ex saints player. It happens. They will use papers for a variety of reasons.

If Jordan was close to any deal I'm surprised he is happy to share all this on the radio. There are normally NDA in place if he's had access to info that isn't publicly available

And since then zero match day income, additional cost associated with Covid and no guarantee we will have full capacity next season. The unknown is how much of the loan we have had to use during this period. The figure of £3m a month losses was mentioned in one of Siemmens or the CFO interview so possible we are £30m into it or will be by May. Whilst no need to repay for 5 years will need to start to budget to repay it. I can't see us spending much unless we sell first.
-
What I meant was that his hand may be forced to accept a lower price if he has pressure on him to repay a loan.
-
I wonder what the terms are on the loan Gao used to buy the club. Doesn't look like interest is being serviced by the club through dividends etc at the moment. But may be repayable in next few years which may force his hand re any sale.

No Salisu? Think I'd play Adams over Tella but otherwise same line up for me.

In the last five years to end 18/19 season Leicester's owners have not put any money in at all. Source: analysis of their financial accounts by Swiss Ramble on twitter

Everton semi was supposed to be my first away game. But night before my Dad couldn't find the tickets. He tore the house apart overnight but we never did find them. So ended up not going. Was gutted at the time. But not as much as those who were there by the sounds of it.
