I saw a clip of the Wolves game on SSN this morning that Gary Neville was referring to, it was bloody awful and exactly like watching Saints. There were 5 minutes left of the game and wolves spent a minute just passing it between the defence and GK. Every average club is trying to play like Man City but without the quality to do so and it’s really killing the enjoyment of watching a game.

3-1, easy Bournemouth win

It’s such a shame that we finally have our best keeper probably since Boruc, and we’ll end up losing him after one season as the rest of the team is so shit.

From this thread and the things I’ve read on social media it baffles me how many people still don’t understand how injury time works. There were 9 second half subs, that’s 4 and a half minutes alone, plus the game was stopped for 2 minutes for that melee. We didn’t defend well enough at the end when it mattered, can’t believe how much time and space they had on the edge of our box.

Feels like a loss that. We are so fucking shit.

PSG beat Girona in the 90th minute courtesy of a Paulo Gazzaniga own goal. You can take the boy out of Southampton….

He was once 4th choice behind Fonte, VVD and Yoshida. He’s now first choice. If there was ever a fact that details the decline of this club it’s that.

Maybe if we appeal the decision, and ask nicely, they’ll increase it to 10 games.

Even thought united are pretty shite of late I still think they’ll do us about 1-3. If Russ starts Waif Smallbones in the middle rather than Fernandes he can get fucked.
-
BBD scored goals for a very crap Sheffield United side so he’s got no problem at this level, unfortunately it’s the tactics that are hampering him so far. It would be good to see him and Archer line up together as strikers not cutting in from the wing so we’ve got a presence up top.

And his Starbucks order is a decaf soy latte.

“I wish you were right, he’s far too lightweight for this league, as he was last time he played in it. However as with Jack Stephens I fully expect him to be one of the first names on the team sheet each week as long as Russ is in charge.” That was my opinion on Smallbone last week that Manji reacted to with a confused face. We’ll be relegated before May. That was my response in the same thread when someone mentioned this brand of football would end in relegation in May, which Manji also reacted to with a confused face. Are you any less confused this week @manji? Utter shit show this week once more tactically by Russ. I still maintain that another manager with the same players would have done better last season, and I feel the same now. If he won’t adjust his setup, and carries on picking certain players then I fully expect us to be the next Derby County when it comes to worst ever Premier League clubs.
-
Really surprised Fernandes isn’t starting today after how he played midweek. Smallbone and Aribo are a waste of a shirt at this level.
-
😂 he’s not an experienced target man though is he!
-
You wish eggy. You’ve listed a load of strikers that are shorter in stature, which we have in Diaz and Armstrong, the thing is with all of your examples they were more often than not playing alongside a proper experienced target man, which we do not have!
-
Not pointless at all, you were trying to use playing for England U21s as a benchmark in quality, but it’s not. David Prutton was once the most capped England Under 21 for example. Archer has started more Prem games than he has started on the bench, so it’s a very fair stat. His goal per game ratio is twice as bad as Che Adams. Nketiah by example has a ratio of about a goal every 5 games, so your opinion that’s he’s not as good as Archer is also null and void. I think you’re missing the point I’m trying to say here, yes CF’s don’t have to be big and bulky, and yes Aguero did very well, but that’s because he had a big number 9 in Edin Dzeko alongside him, and that’s the point I’m making, we don’t have that.
-
So was Angus Gunn to be fair, so it’s by no means a measure of quality playing for the U21’s. He may well come good but he has a record of 4 premier league goals in 41 appearances, so one goal every ten games so not the most inspiring. I still think we’re lacking that big Pelle-esque number 9 to really give us a chance of survival.
-
Good window, but would have been a great window if we had recruited for that one position that’s more important than all, a proven striker. I’m not given a mark out of ten as it didn’t work out too well last time 😂
-
At least he knows where the goal is!

This is an insane signing for a club of our size. Really big statement and fair play to SR for getting it done. Just the scoring at the other end that needs sorting now.
-
Quite the opposite to be fair, reviews were largely positive. Saw him at the O2 back in June and it was as good as most Oasis shows I’d seen. Even Digsys Dinner sounded great. Saw Noel at Poole lighthouse back in march and he was equally brilliant, having seen those two shows I was convinced we didn’t need a reunion anymore but have to admit it has left me excited. He’s a much more mature soul these days is Liam, and he’s a lot more conscious of looking after his voice. I don’t think the tour will descend into drink and drug fuelled nightmare it used to be for the brothers. Good luck to those of you also joining the nightmare of the ticket sale Saturday morning.

Shite. As soon as Everton came out you just knew we were next

What a mad fucking game that was, some really good positives from an attacking perspective, looking forward to seeing some of this lot replace the plodders in the current first XI.

What a fucking winner!!!!
