Interesting that we chose to play a friendly so early into the season, assuming it’s to keep the fringe players sharp and fit whilst seeing how the U21s on the brink of the first team fare against tougher opposition? I miss the old reserve team days where we’d see a mixture of first team, reserves and U21s and fans were allowed to attend.

Fuck no. The rhetoric that United may have been leaning towards keeping hold of him at one point would have been a massive mistake on their part. Although seeing United dragged through the mud would have been amusing to watch until they inevitably went back on the idea. No like many others I fully expect him to end up somewhere with backward views on women like Saudi.

He’s not exactly the prolific goal scorer they need so they’ll be on his back straight from the off. Even if he does leave I’m trying not to get too downhearted as he was still part of the worst saints team in living memory, and 2 of the 3 goals he’s scored for us so far even Ali Dia would have converted.

Today like Sheff Weds was another potential banana skin avoided, would have been easy to lose against a promoted side with momentum in their favour so to get all 3 points is more than a decent result. Goal aside Tella was very subdued again, and Adams should really consider whether moving to Everton is a good move for his career. We know how poor his Premier League return is, he’d do well to stay and earn hero status with a possible promotions. Loved the tackle from Armstrong at the end, like the one he tracked back for against Norwich showed that there’s a lot more effort to his game than just trying to score. Mara can get in the bin the silly prick, totally inviting unneeded pressure on us with his antics. Desperately need another striker before the window shuts.

Do questions get screened before they get put forward to the people being interviewed? I’d love someone to just straight up ask what exactly is being done about the glaring Striker, Centre Back and Goalkeeper issues that every man and his dog can see except the men behind the scenes.
