Sorry guys you’re not allowed to criticise Stephens. Apparently you’re not a real fan if you don’t blindly celebrate the 21 game unbeaten run but instead make constructive criticisms about the shoehorning of a player into a settled team. Thats what I’ve been told anyway.

I appreciate what you’re saying, and you’re right we should be revelling in our success, however it’s important not to get too complacent when doing well and identify issues before they prove costly. The fact remains that the second half was once again woeful, and it has been a fairly common theme this season. Bringing on Stephens completely altered the mentality of the team, and I don’t buy that it was a necessary sub due to THB being on a yellow, he was hardly a high risk player on thin ice. Not sure why Martin keeps finding a way to sub him onto the pitch, sometimes when it’s completely unnecessary. Again, you’re right let’s revel in our current success, but if us fans can see these weaknesses you can be sure our opponents will too.

Decent first half that, should be well and truly out of sight but alas gives us something to work towards second half. Their goal was an utter clusterfuck, not sure why Baz didn’t try and claim it as a standard catch instead of that weird dive thing, and their men shouldn’t have been completely unmarked for the cross and goal. Their stadium is kind of in reverse to ours though isn’t it, in that their “Itchen” stand is at the back of the stadium and what would be the kingsland/chapel corner opens straight onto the road.

Was thinking this, would they block off the back of the kingsland say where the gasworks bar is, and then send all away fans through the industrial estate and right up St Mary’s street to join the Saints fans at the junction with Northam Road? Guessing extra police presence required there and along St Mary’s street to prevent organised trouble down the side roads. Also I’m guessing the opening hours of some of the businesses in the industrial estate might cause a few headaches if access is required on match day and there’s coaches everywhere. Would it be easier for the club to sacrifice a few corporate boxes and give away fans blocks 46-48 of the Northam and 1-3 of the Itchen so we get the majority of the Northam? (Not sure how many boxes are in use currently) Cup allocations can spread into blocks 44 and 45 without us having to give the rest of the Northam up and the segregation is already in place for that below stand. It’s already the whole length of the Northam isn’t it? Just divided by metal roller shutters at various points.

I loved the way in 2013/14, NikNak had managed to secure a deal with Adidas to supply our kit, and we were going to have lovely gold detailing on our bog standard plain red kit that you could buy unbranded for £20, because Lotus were going to be the team sponsor, before fucking it up and having to go back to AAP3 for a new deal.

This for me too. Yeah winning the league would be nice but matters not in the greater picture. Look what happened to the team that pipped us to 1st in 2011/12.
