  1. Cheers Gaff, you'll be pleased to know i've requested my usual position in defence for this years match.
  2. Talks remain ongoing with potential new investors.... "Hello? Peter Storrie? Its Terry Tibbs, Football Club you've got for sale, talk to me....."
  3. I know Pompey didn't prepare it,but it was widely reported that the report was handed over to them from Vantis before it went to the High Court as Pompey wanted to add things to it. What these things were we can only speculate, but i'm sure they didn't want to drop themselves further in the ****. I just hope you're right and its completely clear that they are insolvent, then the necessary action can be taken.
  4. I dunno, theres just something fishy (excuse the pun) about the whole thing. Why would they hand over the SOA which you can bet your ass they glossed over to make it sound like they were solvent and still have enough income to survive with parachute payments etc like the guy on SSN yesterday was suggesting, and then the next day come out with an outrageous plea to FIFA to break the laws of the game which suggests they really haven't got a pot to **** in.
  5. Can't help but think that Pompey are fully aware that the PL and FIFA won't allow them to trade outside of the window, and they are in fact using the story just to distract attention from a takeover currently going through. Hope i'm wrong, just a funny feeling i've got.
  6. I may be wrong, but i'm quite sure last seasons final went to extra-time.
  7. In terms of view it will be the purple seats in the North and South stands, although everyone on here was hoping to have a singing section say blocks 131-136 but the plan doesn't make it clear whether we've actually been allocated those sections.
  8. He never got banned in the first place unfortunately,it was mentioned but the club didn't want to turn him into a Martyr by doing so.
  9. Have a feeling this is going to be one of those games where we'd be happy with a draw, but afterwards will be cursing our luck that we've not won.
  10. Have to be honest, even though Pompey are **** the game today was a League One team against Premiership, and I couldn't help but think that as the game went on we'd tire and struggle to match their fitness and end up paying for it,and thats exactly what happened! We just didnt have the legs to prevent the last 2 goals.
  11. Not quite, seeing as Season Tickets didnt go on sale until after we had been taken over. Personally I think priority should go to ST holders, then the fans who have been to most JPT games, not just the Area Final. There were only 9000 odd people at the first game against Torquay,14000 against Charlton and 15000 against Norwich. Where were all the plastics that came out in force last night as we were within touching distance of Wembley?
  12. Tickets are available online again.
  13. That own goal is pure class! Their goal was every bit as shocking as I remember it though,3 players trying to head the same ball!!!
  14. Just about to leave for the game, and to be honest i've got a few nerves about the whole thing. I know people have called it a Mickey Mouse cup etc etc but none of that matters to me,we've been through some real **** in the past few seasons, two relegations, administration, missing out on the play off final by the skin of our teeth in the 06-07 season, they have all been ****e experiences and all of us, EVERYONE, who supports Saints deserves a bit of joy, a chance to forget all the crap we've been through and have a bit of a day out at Wembley. Yes i'd rather we were top of league right now but **** it, lets make do with what we've got, sing our hearts out tonight, and roar the team on to Wembley. COYR!!!
  15. This will be lucky number 7 for me. I'm desperate to lay those ghosts of 4-1 and 'Amarillo' to rest.
  16. Nice to have a proper Saints fan writing about them for the echo to be honest, compared to some of the other fools they have in the sports section. Oh,and didnt Dan used to post under the name Maverick on Saintsforever?
  17. Couldn't see this anywhere else but for anyone interested the FA Cup is coming to St Marys on Feb 4th. Seems to be aimed mostly at families and kids with some of the activities on offer but it does give everyone a chance to hold the cup....if they can't wait till it comes to St Marys again in May of course Its free to attend but pre-registration is required. http://www.facuptrophytour.co.uk/
  18. On the one hand,I agree with you,I'd hate to see Niemi lining against us in a Pompey shirt as i'd like to remember him as a bit of a Saints legend. However... On the other hand , if his last performance in a southcoast derby is anything to go by, then i'd love to see him play against us!!
  19. Watching it now on Football First, all those empty seats are an embarrassment. One of the most important games of their season so far and they can't even sell out? Best fans in the world my arse.
  20. Interesting question, when was the last time Saints were shown live on ITV?

    Spiders

****ing hate spiders, yet still feel compelled to look at things like this out of curiosity.
  22. Thats what I thought too,I know they did ban him taking his bell in though as it was an offensive weapon. Still remember the "ding dong ding dong, wheres your bell gone" chant.
  23. You know what,**** it. My earlier reaction to the draw was due to the fact that on paper they're clearly a stronger squad than us and I did fear humiliation on our own patch. But its the FA Cup, and its a special competition. We've got nothing to lose but for a bit of pride, but as others have said we're the League One club and we're expected to lose so the pressures on them, who knows what kind of position they'll be in by then, but we can fully expect Pardew to make it very clear to the team just what this game means, and to send the players out there with no fear and some fire in their bellies. I was there that day we lost 4-1 at Nottarf, its a wound that still hasn't healed, the sound of 17,000 of them ****ers singing Amarillo, whilst all we could do was stand there and take it. I'd love to put that ghost to bed,if Leeds can go to Old Trafford and beat United then we've got nothing, NOTHING to be afraid of! Bring on the webbed feet, incestuous, inbred ****wits, I can't wait!!
  24. Wish I could say I was excited, but I fear embarassment on our own turf.
  25. Looking forward to Aliens vs Predator finally getting a release on a console, the trailers look pretty good so far. Also looking forward to the follow up to Batman:Arkham Asylum which has been pencilled in for June . Loved the first one,was a touch on the short side though.
