  1. With respect Eric, if the guy who sits next to you is that bad why not have a word with him instead of complaining on here?
  2. Very enjoyable game, once we'd taken the lead I didn't feel we'd throw it away. Guly was MOM for me, some of his touches today were pure class. Lambert is finally getting there thankfully, lots of jumping today and it was good to see him getting in the box again and not having to drop to midfield to receive the ball. Thought Barnard did well when he came on, shame Chaplow robbed him of a goal by tapping the ball into the net when it was going in anyway. Adkins mark is certainly beginning to show now, and things look very promising.
  3. Wouldn't mind seeing Jaidi bought back in for this in place of Seaborne. Nothing against the lad, and he's done well since he came back in but Tranmere have a bit of a monster up front in the shape of Enoch Showunmi, he's had a pretty good start to the season too.
  4. As well as the team being read out at the beginning of the match it'd be nice to see the team line-up on the big screen, with the players names set out in formation like Sky, BBC etc do. In all fairness they could keep the screens off during the game now,all I ever used to use them for was when they showed the replays.

    Arrested 11

The only thing he was ever guilty of was being a miserable arrogant ****!

Beatts and Barnard up front for me.

    Van Gobbel?
  8. Signing Niemi was his idea, deserves credit for that!
  9. Would love to jump on the 'them pesky skates at it again' bandwagon but let's be honest, it would have happened in Southampton too most likely. The world is full of ****s, not just Pompey, although they have a greater number than most.
  10. Bit harsh IMO. Davies has been plying his trade in the Prem for a long time and all managers know just what a threat his hold up play is. Personally I'd say it's a travesty KD never got a look in when that useless sack of **** Heskey won as many caps as he did.
  11. Email is ashjupes8587@yahoo.co.uk mate
  12. Yes please! Have you still got it?
  13. I'll be pedantic and say again what was ignored in my earlier post, that chain of results is missing the 2-0 defeat at MK Dons after the 1-0 defeat at Swindon.
  14. You missed the loss at MK Dons from that list! I'm having trouble calling this one, obviously we'll be buoyed on from the win at Sheffield, but then it's Saints, and it'd be totally like us to send that good work down the drain! Last year was one of the best away games I've been to, hoping this one lives up to that. Head 2-2 draw, heart 3-1 win.

    Lallana!

The annoying thing about this is that if the injury became apparent in pre-season it was never going to go away all by itself, and playing on it would just make it worse. Therefore the sensible thing to do would have been to get it sorted immeadietly, and arrange a decent cover on short term loan for a couple of months. He probably would have been fully recovered and back in the team by now. Unfortunately this is Southampton FC and often the sensible thing to do often goes out the window.
  16. Always winds me up when we have left footed players taking corners from the left and right footed players taking them from the right meaning the ball swings outwards. Would much rather reverse this so the ball gets whipped in towards goal and not away from it.
  17. If we'd started the match like we played in the last 30 minutes we'd have got the 3 points I reckon. Nice to see Adkins try and actually change the game with the substitutions of Dickson and Holmes, and play 3 at the back. That's one criticism of Pardew I did have, the lack of inspiration. Credit to Davis saving that one on one, although in fairness it was kicked straight at him. He still fails to command his line which always worries me,there were a couple of times he remained rooted to his line as a cross flashed through the 6 yard box. Hopefully Holmes keeps his place for the next game and Punch is dropped, he was a new level of **** today.
  18. Lambert did well today, although I'm still annoyed that he has to drop into midfield just to collect the ball as our centre midfielders just don't win the ball. If Lambert could sit in natural position at CF and play with the enthusiasm of Barnard he'll tear this league up again.
  19. **** the pope and his kiddy fiddling colleagues. Aparently Atheism is akin to Nazism these days, what a tool.

    Best Gig/Show

Went and saw Muse Saturday as well for what was my 5th time too and once again they failed to disappoint! Still undecided as to whether I preferred this or the Wembley show in 2007. Their charity gig for TCT back in April 08 at the Albert Hall was probably my favourite performance of theirs I've been to. The Radio 1 Killers gig at the Albert Hall was also immense,as was the one the following July which was filmed for their DVD. That really is an incredible venue. I went to that Warchild gig at Shepherds bush Empire that they did with Coldplay at that was pretty special. The encore of Chris Martin singing Back For Good with Gary Barlow followed by the performance of All These Things That I've Done with Coldplay, The Killers, G.B. And Bono was slightly surreal. Foo Fighters at Wembley in 08 was an awesome show, went to the Saturday which meant I got to see the collaboration with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones which was a special moment. Likewise Green Day at the same place this summer, jeez do they know how to put on a good show. They were on for just under 3 hours and I've never seen a band get the crowd that involved with a concert. They did a good 10 song back to back run of some of their old catalogue (which I prefer as I liked GD before American Idiot was released) in the middle of the show, as well as a medley of songs by the likes of G n R, AC/DC and The Beatles. Got people from the crowd up to sing with them, fired t-shirts into the crowd with a massive bazooka thing, just really got the crowd involved.
  21. Glenn Hoddle started his Managerial reign of us with a win,2-1 against West Ham, but yeah I'd love this to work in our favour against MK.
  22. Even more annoying that they're better than us at singing it!
  23. He's currently level with Stuart Gray on worst managerial starts, who bizarrely also lost his first 3 games 3-0,2-0 and 1-0.
  24. Would that be the same Sir Clive who led his team to victory in a World Cup final whilst wearing a White kit?
