Henry Winter of The Times had a centre page spread on Targett last Saturday week, having chatted with him on Zoom. Ambitions of England recognition etc on the strength of this season's form. Opened the paper last Saturday and this time he has a centre page spread on Harrison Reed - the 'heartbeat of Fulham' etc. A bit galling to see two former Academy players improving so much away from Saints but good luck to them.

In today's paper The Times asked its fashion editor to cast her eye over the 19-20 home and away kits of each club. She quite liked the Chelsea, Liverpool and Sheffield Utd efforts, was rude about most of the other clubs including SFC of which she wrote: ' What the Blades have done so well in red and white Saints have managed to comprehensively mess up. The black yoke looks a bit like the designer hadn't finished scrolling before he hit "print screen", and the grey lines contribute nothing. There's something odd going on with the sleeves too, as though they've added in a sort of optical illusion bingo wing effect. I'm trying to find something to be constructive about but none of this is pleasant.' As for my family everyone particularly hates the horrible black shoulders.

Saw Ollie Lancashire make his debut - 10 years or so ago - at Loftus Rd where he was sent off after 30 minutes. Since then he's been plying his trade around the lower leagues and noticed he's now turned up at Swindon. Full marks to him for resilience !
