Not copied it's just Land speed record cars are one of the few things i know alot about.

A land speed record car has to have 4 wheels or more,Thrust ssc did have a steering wheel although it only provided minimum steering lock at the end of the measured mile it was towed into position for the return run. The lay out of Thrust ssc caused problems as it was rear wheel steered to give room on either side for the 2 engines,but this caused the vehicle to wander about a bit if one engine came up to power slightly befor the other one.

It's a sad story but although the U.S system obviously has faults the problem with ours is that it can allow to many people to stay on benifits of some kind with no intention of getting a job.

I must admit i always liked the V4 2 stroke engines used in the 500cc grand prix days,any engine that can turn out around 180-190bhp from 500cc is a great piece of engineering.It's only a shame that due to emisions laws we never saw there full potential on road bikes.

I think alot of the time it's just his confidence in his own ability that rubs people the wrong way,although saying maybe some of the drivers at the press conference are envious of him might be a bit much when you had Raikonnen and Alonso with 3 championships between them there. But we have seen it before Schumacher and Senna etc who have that win at all cost mentality,and they seem to be the ones who then have the talent to back the arrogance up.

I think some of the main problems in any formula always stem from when the organisers start to take take advantage of the spectator,normally the ticket pricing is first to go up and in the end this drives fans away who can't afford it.Then as fans stay away you get less coverage then it's harder to get sponsors interested.

It just seems that although we all complain if there is loads of traffic police around alot of them do use common sense instead of the rigid guide lines when a camera is set up for a set speed. Many years ago when i had just passed my bike test i got stopped one evening by an unmarked car go over Millbrook flyovers at around 70mph,now when i realised it was a copper i did the usual of slowing right down and riding sensibly.When he pulled me over he took into acount the amount of traffic which was zero gave me a lecture and told me to **** of out of his area if a wanted to ride like a tit.Nowdays i probably would of been straight to court and banned.

The other night though a friend of mine got caught on his motorbike doing 33mph in a 30 limit at 10.30pm he was given the choice of 3 points or attend a driver education course for a morning.The thing is he said the road was completely empty at the time no other traffic,it just seems stupid the resources that get wasted some time.
