It does beg the question what can the £43m of debt to Gaydamak and Chanrai be secured on? Farton Park can be worth much more than £10m, they have no other non-player assets and the players themselves aren't worth much.

That's bloody brilliant, presumably the author spent some time on here for research!
-
That's not quite how the BBC are reporting it. Seem its only Android saying they should now be satisfied, nothing to confirm that HMRC has dropped it, just Sky adding 2+2 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8560834.stm

make that another interested party. Closing comment from Fake Sheik: "I have lots of money to pour into any failing business with no assets. I will forward proof of funds within 48 hours f'sure."

Official: 44,000 tickets for Wembley then...

Quick question hopefully not been asked already, but can season ticket holders who've already purchased a ticket when it was STs only buy another ticket when it goes on database sale tomorrow? Reason I ask is that 3 of us want tickets but only two of us are on the database, was wondering if the details of an ST holder mate would work. -
surely only two of them if you go tits up? I'll love it, just love it if Pompey go tits up.

Another manager with questionable ambition ?

Can't believe I wasted my time reading this thread. It's pretty sad if you have to resort to starting attention seeking threads on an internet message board. -
mmmm, depends which course you do. Did an MA in Politics a few years ago, got my golf handicap down to 11, great year.

get in! beagrie on SSN: "both [goals] have been from 'worldie' crosses" -
Too true. In reality the value of any asset is determined by how much someone else is prepared to pay - that will change depending on the circumstance of the seller. Pompey are undergoing a firesale then they'll be lucky to get anyway near good value for any player. After all we're talking about a team that is adrift at the bottom of the league and there isn't exactly a lot of cash swilling around Championship/lower level Prem teams at the moment. Further several of their better players are either loans (e.g. O'Hara) or very old (e.g. James and Hreiderson) so won't realise any significant sums.

Maybe it will be time to bring out my "I love HMRC" placard again! COYHMRC

In the words of a pompey fan "your avin a laugh mush". How do you know when redknapp is talking bull**** - his lips move. On a separate note, I just typed redknapp into google.co.uk and before adding any further or clicking on search it gave 10 options for possible searches including "redknapp brothel", "redknapp tax", "redknapp sacked", "redknapp tax evasion", "redknapp charged" and "redknapp arrested". what a guy.

But if you were selling out or close to selling out the ground you wouldn't be offering seats for £20 - in fact you can often see lots of blue seats in the home section of the Milton End.
-
Yes but you don't.
-
Yes but the owner of the "golden share" will have been in administration twice.
-
So Jacobs is leaving (presumably) a well paid job for a city law firm to 'help' out Pompey....what exactly will his role be and who will be paying him? They'll have the administrator controlling the company but still have Storrie and Jacobs hanging around. I don't get it?! something fishy there.

Mirror says "Pompey strike secret survival deal with Premier League - exclusive" not that secret then.

I'm hopeful of progress within the next 48 hours

Things we need to do to become the best fans in the world
anothersaintinsouthsea replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Just tell everybody that you are the best fans, easy. -
Amazingly some skates think that this is really good news - great we've reduced our debts! hhhmmmm yeah but you've also reduced your assets and will have to pay £1m rent a year for the privelage. From POL: "To me it is getting clearer, Chainrai now owns FP & The land, the new consortium can now focus on building the new FP, alledgidly at Horsea. Chainrai tehn can build on the FP site. If Horsea falls trough I susupect we have 1st refusal to purchase FP and land off Chainrai. As for Gaydamak, he has got paid for the land and is happy to walk away. This current situation helps all parties out and it enables PFC to be saved and move forward. "

Has to be one of the worst banners ever, you have to wonder at the mental state of whoever made that.

Surely that won't look good in the eyes of the court?
