  1. Why does one have to say "no foreigners" when one can just say "only those who can guarantee the rent". The second bit of highlighted in bold captures it in a nutshell, if that really is someone's thought process then they are undoubtedly prejudiced. I'm sure there a plenty of white locals who jump rent just as there are plenty of foreigners who don't. To be honest I find these "is this racist?" "no its not racist what about this" arguments very boring. The main reason why there is no "Music of White Origin" awards is because no one wants one.
  2. I can remember the excitement of reaching the 10,000th post, those were the days....
  3. Hamburg will be an amazing place to go and watch your team in a Euro final. I'm so jealous, but hope they win.
  4. Pub near me was so into celebrating St George's day that they stuck a free pull out flag sponsored by the Daily Star in their main window. that's how much it means, respect.
  5. Had our first mouse visit a couple of months ago after living in our current place for the last 5 years. Bought a plug from B&Q that emits a sonic bleep that rodents detest. It seemed to do the trick, after a few days I turned it off to see what happened and within half an hour I could hear a mouse in the wall. Turned it back on, cue some frantic scurrying sounds and then nothing since. Well worth the money.
  6. What a scumbag club. Hope they die soon.
  7. Sorry can you highlight the bit where Pardew blames the fans? What is he blaming the fans for?
  8. +1. Surely this is fraud.
  9. mullet-tastic! Anyone doing the stickers for this world cup?
  10. Is it really though or is it that most people can't be bothered?
  11. That loooked like the Alamo. For the penalty claim, the ref can only give the handball if he thinks it was deliberate. You see them given all of the time and if I was a Saints player I would have been screaming at the ref but I can understand why it wasn't given.
  12. £58m! wow what a bargain. For that you get a clapped out stadium, no training ground, guaranteed crowds of 14k and a team likely to be battling relegation, not to mention a likely points deduction and the potential of further (re: financial irregularities). I expect Android's been busy beating away the interest parties!
  13. Sorry if I've missed it but what did Boyle actually say?
  14. **** you walsall, getting me going like that.
  15. Next year if we want to go up automatically we'll need to develop the winning habit which means that some times we'll need to grind out some wins in tight matches. Good practice IMO.
  16. Get in, we can do this!
  17. Saw Alan Hansen at Eurodisney in the mid 90s. Didn't look too happy.
  18. Yes but at least they were in the Premier League then
  19. I haven't missed a game home or away since 1977, a year before I was even born. I give a bloke at the training ground a tenner every day so that I can watch every training session from my secret vantage point. I wear full kit to matches and also enter the ground as soon as it is open so I can get the full matchday experience. I have four sons called Ron, Matthew, Terry and Ted. I am the most uber of uber-fans.
  20. Not sure what the point of this thread is. Swindon are there on merit. I actually went to the Leeds-Swindon game on Saturday as my brother is a Town fan and we were up North for Easter. Once they got the first goal they completely dominated Leeds who were very unimpressive (laughable that Beckford got L1 player of season ahead of Lambert). They scored good goals and every player knows exactly what his role is and plays exactly the way the manager wants. They've worked the loan system well and have picked up a few Scottish players on the cheap. Are they better than Saints? The table doesn't lie and as my brother pointed out in the first half of the season they conceded many late goals and could easily have more points. On the other hand if Saints played to their potential they would comfortably beat Swindon but the league is about consistency. Pardew will hopefully work this out over the summer. Wilson knows this division inside out and had a half season to get to know his squad and then the summer to prepare properly.
  21. F365 should have realised that going by the date. Saints could only have started in R3 which as everyone knows is in January.
  22. Apparently it's been shut down ahead of the cup semi final. Authorities obviously think it is a **** hole as well.
  23. And as he said, he'd been there with Everton supporting mates for the Cup final so he should have known the place was complete dump.
