Quite, but I'm not on it and I'm not sure many on this thread are. Even so, more "whatabouttery" from Trousers. I suppose the reason that Carr has been singled out is his recent sketch on that Channel 4 weeknight show where he ripped into Barclays for tax evas I mean tax advoidance. Also not quite sure why the BBC should take that much flak on this particular issue. Carr makes huge amounts from appearances, tours and DVD sales let alone being more of a Channel 4 face than a BBC one.

Ahh, Trousers' usual 'but what about Labour' argument. Yawn. Who cares? I wonder what Rhodes Boyson thinks of it.
-
Oh, and if anyone wants to see what the UK would look like if virtually everyone was fiddling their taxes then go to Greece. No thanks.
-
What so everyone should be allowed to choose exactly how their tax gets spent? ----> Chaos.

I had an u8s team a year ago but had to pull out cos of other commitments. There is a good forum for grassroots coaches http://www.soccercoachingforums.com/ where you can interact with likeminded types. You can also sign-up for a weekly free email that is pretty good.

From the Guardian blog: "10.56am: According to Ekho (a Russian newspaper), Russia fans have made a banner celebrating the Smolensk air crash, and plan to throw paper aeroplanes during the Polish anthem tonight."

Pompeyonline are saying that Al-Fahim has been in touch with the Trust and a representative will shortly be meeting them. Many are rather positive about this news.

You mean the initial study might be slightly exaggerating the impact of an illegal substance? Shock horror.

Saints ready to sign Robert Green

And yet the overall opinion of the several hundred pros that played with and against them was that Davis was better than Green. -
How can they make there offer conditional on highly paid players leaving? Surely that's got **** all to do with the creditors?
-
Oh FFS they going to try and pull that one again

Sorry, I know a fair deal about Verdun but still don't think it was directly relevant comparison to whether or not French leaders showed sufficient respect to British troops who died in France. A better comparison would have been whether or not British leaders paid their respects to Commonwealth pilots who died in the Battle of Britain. In any case I'd be very surprised if British leaders hadn't had visited Verdun before. Not sure I quite agree with your analysis of the Great War. I'm sure that opposing German aggression was the morally correct thing to do but you could easily argue that British interests would have been better served by leaving France and Germany to it just like we did in the Franco-Prussian war a few decades earlier. Your view of the WWII is also a bit dodgy. The French contribution to the war was massively overblown for propaganda purposes - certainly not "very substantial". -

Frankly if that carried that much weight then they'd be no point debating anything in football. Have an opinion on who should be in the next Saints starting 11? Sorry, Adkins knows more than you so don't bother. The fact is that recent England managers have consistently shown dodgy judgement in team selection. Remember McClaren selecting Carson for his first start against Croatia (cue dreadful performance)? Capello selected Green vs USA (my heart sank when I heard that) and then promptly dropped him for the next match so he obviously got it wrong. I wouldn't be happy with Green coming to Saints. I don't think he is significantly (if at all) better than Davis - notice who got in the Championship team of the year? Surely the professionals who voted know more than you right? Yet would cost a fair wedge and potentially put the nose out of joint of one of our most consistent and valued players. -

Verdun was French defending France on dying on French soil. Normandy was Allied troops liberating France and dying on French soil. Why should a British figurehead have to visit Verdun? -
You've not covered Baker Tilly and their £16.5m debt. Isn't it 75% required to carry the proposal. HMRC + Baker Tilly is way more than the 25% required to block so I guess it comes down to whether or not Baker Tilly will say 'non'.

It's safe to say that you have learned something today. Hope that is now burnt into your memory. -

Either is correct. -

That's not comparable. -
Hope that Liam Lawrence has been drafted in to cope with the 'rush'.

But a lot more relevant than UKIP eh? Seriously though, in a way I think the Diana reaction actually did them well in the long run. It gave their PR machine a kick up the arse for one thing and is pretty slick.

I'm a true replubican but didn't get angry at all. In fact I was happy for the kids to have some bunting and go to a jubilee party (on Friday) at their nursery school.
-
Well its about 12c here and ****ing it down so I'm not at all envious. Roll on summer holidays.
-
Nice strawman but what rage?
-
I, like most republicans, am well aware that the majority of the UK support the monarchy. Indeed I knew this a long time ago. The jubilee has given me the opportunity to have an enjoyable long weekend and I've only been exposed to about 5 minutes of sycophantic guff on telly which is a bonus.
