Corp really is a gutless c u n t. Too embarassed to show face on here and resorts to posting crap on POL safe in the knowledge that any "scummer" telling it how it is will be banned. We didn't ban Corp, he banned himself. Tempting to break cover and correct some of the bull**** (none of them seem realise that £33m of Director Loans were converted into equity) but then I enjoy a look and a laugh.

You need to elaborate. Where exactly does it hurt? Is it the muscles or the spine itself?

I disagree..... -
Some staggering levels of naiivety and optimism over on POL. Some seem to feel that the deal for any property developer is so good that he'll only charge a peppercorn rent and that a new stadium is practically inevitable. They seem to have forgotten that a shrewd operator in Mandaric couldn't make the sums work even when they were in the Prem. As I said, staggering: Admittedly there are quite a few who're sceptical. Wonder what the Banker's take on it is?

those were the days eh? worth it?

One of his old clubs and apparently his wife still lives/works there.

and how much would he want in return? wolf in sheep's clothing? he is a property developer after all.

Agree with this, we bought loads of stuff with our first but ended up hardly using some things e.g. expensive baby monitor - live in a fairly average sized 3 bed house, if the baby cries you can hear them quite easily thanks very much without the need for stereo enhancement.

Right, after 142 pages have we actually established whether or not he's any good/worth the hype? I really don't know anything about this guy, anyone seen him much?

Predictable gag warning De Pedro? -
My main bit of advice to prospective parents is to always treat advice with a pinch of salt. I was always wary of people making categoric statements about what does and doesn't work. What works for some doesn't for others etc. For me the best advice I got was from my nan and that was not to worry too much if baby is crying. Often babies cry when they're tired especially if overtired, so the best thing is to just let them get on with it. Fussing over them only prolongs the tears.

Totally agree. There may be an argument that Adkins wants to move to a more fluid system with quicker, more mobile players but even if true there is no harm having Lambert on the bench to give us a different option when needed.

I'd venture to suggest that no Ouija board would "work" if no one was allowed to physcially touch any of the items being used.

They're only extremes from your point of view in a 21st century Britain. They represent hundreds of millions of people and in many countries are the mainstream. Further they are actually more true to their religions than many in the country than those in this country who pick and choose the bits of religion they like or dislike. From one point of view I've actually got more respect for devout believers e.g. an evangelical Christian who was also a creationist etc. They hold many opinions that I would completely disagree with but they are at least true to their faith.

So your claims about the majority based on anecdotal evidence is valid but VFTT's aren't? In any case I think VFTT's view are a little over the top and perhaps a bit knowingly provocative but I think you're being very selective. You use your own experience to justify your views but ignore huges swatches of the religious world that are far from tolerant and do actively indoctrinate children into their religious view.
-
You say that VFTT's viewpoint is narrow and subjective but then appear to base your own views upon your own personal experience of being brought up as a Christian and the various religious people who you know.

I agree with Hypo. All atheists should be very respectful to believers and not belittle them even though they are a bit primative. In return all believers should refrain from preaching their belief and other interjections in general life such as law making, schooling, public policy and suicide bombings.
-
IMO there's no difference between an atheist and agnostic except the latter is more open to the possibility that there might be a God. Even the "fanatic" Dawkins says that he's only 99% sure there is no God. The trouble is that you can't prove a negative, you can only weigh up the probabilities. The belief in a God is based upon faith. An absence of belief in many is based on a consideration of the various arguments, evidence (or lack of), and probabilities.
