Lancashire had a good game... apart from giving O'Shea a five yard headstart on their first goal.... apart from numerous sliced clearances..... apart from letting Wellbeck get the run on him and then fouling him on the edge of the box for the second goal. FFS what game were some of you watching?! I feel sorry for the guy, he's been thrust into a poor team and gets little protection but he patently isn't up to the job and had an absolute shocker yesterday - although not the only one to be fair to him.

You seem to be confusing Gaza with the wider area commonly referred to as the occupied territories. While Israel did remove its settlers from Gaza several years ago there remains the best part of 200,000 settlers living on occupied territory in the West Bank. Considering your holier than thou attitude it seems quite surprising that you could get this wrong.

What make me chuckle is the way that you write things like "Nu-Labour" - it just makes you look a bit sad - and create straw man arguments which you gallantly knock down. Firstly on any objective level Blair is hard to describe as Left wing, secondly the Tories were as enthusiastic about the Iraq invasion as any, thirdly dislike of Thatcher does not equate to being a supporter of New Labour or a supporter of the Iraq invasion.

I think people should avoid seeing this as good vs bad. Its clear that the Israel government don't care how many civilians they kill as long as they can kill a few Hamas top brass and look good to the Israel electorate. Its also pretty clear that Hamas are pursuing a futile and ineffective campaign. Both sides are just playing to their power base. The only way this can be resolved is for the major powers to impose some sort of political solution (obviously a massive undertaking granted) but there isn't the will for this to happen.

Mad valuations of football clubs in uncertain times

Damn right. -
You're so funny. Hitler and Obama are polar opposites precisely because Obama is a centre-ist politician. As for Obama being the next genocidal lunatic dictator lol lol lol

I think it underlies the old saying that history is written by the victors. The fact that the Nazis started the war and were probably the most evil regime in modern times, has helped obscure the sheer brutality dished out by the RAF in the closing months of the war. How much it helped quicken the end of the war is debateable. I guess a similar example would be the ethnic clensing wrought on the Germans in Prussia by the Russians. The Germans lost a massive amount of their original territory not to mention hundreds of thousands dead or misplaced. Not that well known though.

Can we expect any announcements about your new stadium? Surely it must be finished by now.....

I think your username is one letter too long. -
Poor chap! Seriously, the pound has been overvalued against the Euro and Dollar for best part of five years, it's gone a bit too far the other way but these things are cyclical.

They are over here because they know they can get away with selling sausages for £4 that'll be about €2 in Germany. (BTW you can get similar sausages in packs of 6 for about £1.50 in Lidl.)

Pompey?

Do you really think they're left wing or are you only joking?

My tracker has gone down 3.5% since I got it about a year ago. get in, get in, get in.

Every now and then a big game comes a long - cue many moaning about the purchasing systems and how they won't be able to get a ticket when they really deserve it. In reality these games always go to general sale and anyone who makes the effort to get a ticket won't be dissapointed.

I wouldn't take up essay writing if I were you.

Great draw, should bring some much needed cash and fans back to SMS - could make the difference between selling/loan one or more od our better players in January. We've got nothing to lose especially as we could just as easily get knocked out by someone like Rotherham given our recent record.

Yes, which is why I won't be voting for Labour at the next election - nor the tories.
-
yeah cos the Tories did so well with the recession in the early 80s and the one in the early 90s! we had a decade of consistent economic growth? Since we vote for a local MP to represent us at Parliament this is a null and void argument. Comparing Brown to Mugabe is ludicrous. Actually this was done because thousands of british savers were going to be screwed illegally by Icelandic banks. Entirely appropriate IMO Let's wait and see what the police uncover first you could be left with egg on your face. MPs aren't above the law. Completely agree with you

wow you're touchy, at what point did I slag off the RN? Just pointing out the irony of a public servant who works aboard a boat that costs hundreds of millions of pounds moaning about high taxes.
-
If it's such a struggle and you're as qualified and hard-working as you say then really should think about a change of tack. I know that's much easier said than done but it sounds like you should be directing your efforts elsewhere.
-
and you should be entirely grateful for it - how much does one of those boats you work in cost to build and then maintain? tax money has paid for your training, tax has paid your wages, and tax will pay your pension.

More like £2m a month if there latest financial reports are anything to go by.

My last two deals have been brokered by London & Country mortgages. Each time they got me the kind of deal I was looking for. They don't charge as the take commission from the end lender but they are quite transparent about this. Highly recommended.
