Worst performance - Forest at Home. That was when it became obvious that the NJ experiment was never going to work. Worst result - Chelsea away. Got RS the job and we’ve wasted the rest of the season, when it wouldn’t have taken much to stay up.

They paid £45m for Anthony Gordon.

Yet we ended up paying Ralph £6m a year…

Positive aspects of being in the Championship

This for me, except the last sentence - they can’t keep Selles. Our home form has been utter utter trash for so long, that habit doesn’t just change in the space of a few weeks. When we want down to L1, despite the takeover and quality signings, it took a few months to turn the form around and get into winning habits. Will take longer with this deep mess we’re in. -
That ship sailed when we gave the gig to RS. Hoped he could lift spirits, it’s made us worse and four games isn’t going to change anything. We just need to skulk out of this league in as quiet a fashion as possible and pray that the owners start getting something right this summer.

You don’t want a guy whose got an excellent reputation in coaching and improving young players, made the play offs in every season he’s managed in the championship (Forest were bottom when he joined, FYI) and is making a very good fist of keeping Forest in the Prem despite the absolute mental recruitment and strategy they’ve had? Ok then.
-
I want Forest to go down as it’s more likely Steve Cooper will be available.
-
He doesn’t want to be here - homesick and wanted out very early on. Disastrous move for all parties and he’ll be back in Croatia next season.
-
McKenna doing a great job at Ipswich.
-
Agreed, just hoping he is the one in charge of recruiting staff. Not against a clear out in the slightest, just very scared that Rasmus would be leading the charge on sourcing replacements.
-
The four years remaining on his contract gives us leverage. If he doesn’t want to stay then he shouldn’t have signed in the first place.
-
Indeed, isn’t Wilcox essentially taking his job anyway?
-
That was Harry Lewis, not Michael Poke.

Steve Cooper seems to be the option that fits best - suspect he will be out of a job at the end of the season. Think that’s a realistic and good level appointment. Carrick as a slightly left field option if Boro don’t go up in the play offs, but I don’t think he’d leave the North East for us. Potter - not a chance in hell. That’s got Palace or West Ham appointment for next season all over it. Mark Robins - done an excellent job at Cov with next to no budget, play some decent stuff, wouldn’t be the worst appointment. Probably won’t be any of these obviously, will be an inexperienced overseas manager (sorry, I meant coach).
-
I will miss him when he goes and he’s been decent, but that’s hardly an accolade when it’s probably been our worst 18 months ever in the Prem.
-
We’ve got the grand total of… 4 points against the top 10. Whoop de fcking do. Can you hear yourself speaking? Not sure if it’s missed your gaze, but were rock bottom of the premier league and going down.
-
Don’t see why not - not everyone who gets relegated sells every sellable asset going. Sander Berge, Ismaila Sarr, Joao Pedro, Max Aaron’s just a few off the top of my head that are still with their clubs. He’s a very good talent, but still has a lot of work to do.

A pretty accurate summary of our season in one match. - Can put in a performance when there is zero expectation - as soon as there’s any sort of pressure, they bottle it - mentally weak throughout the team - poor GK - a glimpse of seeing what some of these younger players could be capable of, if they’d have recruited the proper experience to go with it - the feeling of “it wouldn’t have taken much to not be in the shit we are”
-
That’s the million dollar question and based on what we’ve seen so far, absolutely not.
-
Maybe the plan is to clear the decks of the deadwood/failing staff members, install people they are happy to run the club and leave them to it? Don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect them to bring in their own people.
-
Imagine Blackmore’s getting edgy that his mate Semmens might be up next.
-
We could bring in Pep for the remaining games, we’d still go down. It’s far too late.
