As bad as our options are currently, they are all proven goalscorer’s at a certain level. Armstrong / Archer Championship, TP foreign leagues. DB hasn’t proven himself prolific at anything other than u21 level. Not torn it up on loan in league one. Also not shown himself to necessarily be physically ready for full time men’s football (but unlucky with injuries too). Hopefully he turns into a brilliant player, but he’s also just as likely to be another Ryan Seager. As Dusic says, hopefully this loan does the business and he hits the ground running in pre-season, but nothing to suggest he should be chucked into the bear pit of the premier league.

Don’t think it matters personally. The ones that want to go will be sold because we need the cash, the ones that stay will either be because we need them at Championship level / no-one else wants them.

They’ve got a great chance of being next years Ipswich.

I was responding to the ‘Tyler wants to stay, but his agent wants him to move for a fat payday’ mantra. If he wants to stay that badly then in my opinion he’d have signed a deal by now. The transfer window doesn’t really mean much either, we ain’t selling him in January regardless.

Not disputing your links to Tyler but he ultimately is the one who decides whether he stays or goes. If he wants to stay then he’ll stay. If he moves it won’t be because his agent made him, it’ll be because he wants to. If he was that keen to stay, he’d have signed a new deal by now.

Looking forward to seeing if he’s more Orsic or Alcaraz.

You’ve got to feel for him, he took the plunge and bought a full membership so he could continually moan about RM, only for him to get sacked not long after. He’s got to keep going now to get his monies worth.

Only joined Rennes in the summer, hopefully makes more of an immediate impact than our last import from them.

There are plenty of players who have had to step down to non league level because their bodies can’t take the rigours of higher level football. Training once a week and playing on a Saturday takes a different level of fitness to training every day and playing against top quality opposition.

I’d rather not expose u21’s that aren’t ready for this level, getting destroyed over the next 16 games and ruining their confidence. This league is brutal. Would like to see SAA get a meaningful loan.

So basically the summer window all over again.
