I’d be a little surprised if KWP went now, not seemingly been a sniff of interest in these last few weeks, surely there would have been a link somewhere.

I don’t think it’ll be that crazy. Cornet and hopefully Ramsdale but suspect that’s it for incomings. Imagine we’ll get a fair amount of outgoings, mainly loans.

No-ones writing him off, he wants out and isn’t signing a new contract.

The manager has said we’re not interested, we’ve recruited 2 (plus Flynn permanently) in the midfield and have TD breaking through, we have urgent need in the attacking position and have saved a loan spot clearly for that purpose. It’s not going to happen.

He needs to play, but he wants a season playing regularly and then review his options next year. One of those was to fight for his place at Arsenal, but that’s not happening anymore. A good season with us (but in vain), will get him a much better move next season.

Really? Are you his agent? He was never lightning fast before the nasty injury. 18 goals in nearly 100 club appearances (over half of which in the Dutch league), not screaming ‘really composed finisher.

But what about Les, Fernandes and Downes? Because that will be the starting midfield once they have settled in. Bringing JWP in would be George Burley levels of position stockpiling.

The window started quite well, but it has the strong potential of ending really quite tragically.

Is this the same back four that a lot of people were complaining about last year when we were leaking goals, but looked infinitely better when we switched to a back five for the playoffs?

I guess though it Suga came off, KWP would move k we there and Taylor in. Anyway, it’s moot - let’s see what happens.
