Jack was an important Premiership midfield player for us, and Vilhena seems to be a very promising talent, but hardly as experienced.
-
A terrific player for us. Never let us down. Good luck Jack, and take some points off our rivals.

Saints Sign Filip Djuricic on loan from Benfica

Don't worry. If anyone can get Tadic playing it's Koeman -
Same with me. Mind Terry Paine did get a suite named after him.

You mean that when we qualify for the Champions League we must have the ambition to win it?
-
Sounds like a Morgan 4 or 5 years ago. One for the future perhaps, say in a couple of years he could be a tough creative Prem midfielder for us?
-
But surely, if he wanted out he would have wanted to impress future employers.
-
What did you see wrong with Harrison Reed last time he played?
-
He was justifiably subbed, but so could the whole team have been. Come to that we in the crowd were as subdued as the team . Saints supporters should have been subbed too. Palarse supporters shamed us.
-
I don't know if it was the aftermath of last weeks marathon, or that this is what life is like without Schneiderlin and Wanyama, but we completely lost control of midfield, and basic football skills. Palarse cut though us at will. Fair play to them. They deserved to go through. My man of the match was Danns, for his own goal that made our debacle look better than it was.

Katrina? -
Quite disgraceful bias against us. Why does he think we are not a top two team? The man is an idiot.

How about a special song for Cork tomorrow - to persuade him to stay RK has urged him to come to a decision http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30941786 'Richard, we don't want to lose you Stay with us, you know you really want to' or something a bit more dynamic

Cup tickets - were any posted out to ST holders?
eelpie replied to Jackie@home's topic in The Saints
My Palace Cup ticket was added to my ST card (same seat). I hope it works. It would have been reassuring to receive an email receipt though. -
38 degrees are claiming that despite the richness of English football clubs, they barely pay their staff a living wage. Is this true of Southampton Football Club? Here is their petition: "Today, we learned that 14 UK Premier League football clubs are among the richest in the world. [1] But while the players earn millions, most of the non-playing staff don’t even earn enough to meet the basic cost of living. [2] Most of the top football clubs pay their non-playing staff peanuts. One club is different: after a public outcry from fans across the UK, Chelsea FC committed to paying a ‘living wage’ to their staff. [3] The living wage is only a fraction more than the minimum wage - but it makes a huge difference to families struggling to get by. [4] So why don’t all the mega-rich clubs pay the staff who keep them ticking over enough to actually live on? Public pressure worked on Chelsea FC - so now, let’s push the other clubs into paying fairly. There’s one petition per Premier League club. You can pick the club you support, or the club you live closest to, and add your name to the petition. Click here to sign: https://secure.38degrees.org.uk/living-wage-football-petition Premier League clubs make millions of pounds in profit from ticket sales and TV advertising every year. The idea that they can’t afford to pay their staff a living wage is laughable. So they must be choosing not to. Together, we can show them they’re wrong. How come 'deffo'?
-
Not too soon though, I hope

Billy Sharp came on as a sub once, did well, but Nigel never played him again. So we will never know if he could have made the grade. Seems sad, and in hindsight it seems a cynical signing by Adkins, just to use Billy's goal scoring abilities to get us promotion, but not to use him in the Premiership.

The 'experts' have stopped eating humble pie. They're hiding their embarrassment by ignoring us

"Gary Neville: "I'm getting less confident by the week, I like the way they play, the way they're coached..." Honest bloke. Not disguising his bias towards his old club lol
