I think that it is of paramount importance that Vic and Romeu build up a strong partnership. We should not be meeting Watford without establishing a strong midfield, which will be the working core of the team. that shields the defence, and creates atacking opportunities. Vic could be rested in the second half though to give Harry a chance.

A considered post and speaks sense. Not much chance of expecting patience though from some of the ****-headed fannies on here who expect every young player to be perfect from day 1. It happens all the time when we introduce promising youngsters into the team. Morgan was just one example who was heavily slated by many way back when he first played in the first team as a raw, but promising, teenager.

I thought we played too much on the wings, passing the ball sideways when there were plenty of opportunities to strike for goal through defenders. Too timid. Had we been braver and more direct I am sure we would have scored. We were spread out too much, and consequently too vulnerable defending.

With bench from Kelvin, Cuco, Juanmi, Long, Jay, JWP, Harrison I don't know why some are moaning. We have a very good squad with ever improving strength in depth, and the season is early. I will go for 3-2 Saints

That is a good reason for the best up-and-coming players to come here. And we make a packet and buy even better. -
Good comments

Super Schlong is our super sub. They can't cope when he comes on..

He did say that, but he is stating a fact immediately after the game. And any analysis back with the players would clearly discuss all opportunities and mistakes. But I'm sure there will have been a red line drawn on these, unless used during tactical discussions, which would be positive.

It's not healthy, this growing campaign to diss Mane for the two misses. Looking at the replays, the speed of the action, and bodies converging around Sadio, the first opportunity did not seem that easy as perhaps supporters are claiming. Had either ball gone in we would have claimed it as a brilliant goal. We expect perfection of Mane always. Time to move on. He will continue to do us proud.

The Guardian noted that "Anita’s passing consistently confounded Southampton and (Newcastle) adapted well to McClaren’s tactic of pressing a little higher up the pitch." Saint's late dominance came after he was stretchered off. Perhaps he was the reason for so many misplaced passes. As we all know now there is work to be done improving our midfield tactics when the oppos have a dominant player controlling the centre.

I hope we are not all going to get too frustrated at the time it takes Jay to get back to his top form. Look how long it has taken Theo.

How could I forget. Revenge on defectors!

Bournemouth deserve respect for their incredible achievement, and I'm proud that another (different) Hampshire team are doing so well. I hope that we do not underrate them when we play them. It would be a shock if they bettered us, not that I think they will. They play exciting football and certainly should not be panned as relegation fodder. Exciting times for Hampshire footie.

Is the Debayo who played against Espanol the Academy player who signed from Chelsea in 2013? I thought he did well, but can't find any information about him.
-
In vivid green of course. Just to upset everyone.

If we want an early goal, who is more likely to score, Mane or Long? Mane.

Oh no

No reserve team please. We do want to progress, without taking needless risks, surely
