It's recent form that matters more. And we will be without key players that may unbalance the team. Score draw is my realistic forecast. 1-1
-
Ralph has mentioned Vestergard in today's Fulham briefing
-
More players should benefit, and hopefully we'll become a harder squad to predict. It will be good to see some of our talented footballers continuing to be given opportunities too.
-
An interesting point. I agree, some rotation is the way forward imho. Arsenal weathered the storm and were building dangerous moments in front of our goal. We were brilliant in the first half and some periods in the second half, but had Arsenal not gone down to ten men I think we might have lost. We have options on the bench now and it will give opportunities for talented players. I can't see us maintaining that stunning pressing style throughout matches for the whole season otherwise. Ralph will have this in mind, I'm sure. I'm happy with the 1-1 draw. I don't think we're yet ready to be top of the Premiership. But we can pressure the rich clubs all the way, because Europe is a real possibility. Fantastic progress guys.

That's this evenings match report sorted
-
Phillips Wasn't Ings on our books too?
-
Cemented isn't quite the correct word, but who's not to like this wonderful table? Third for a few minutes until Spurs play.
-
I I've looked at the BBC's stills and I'm still not sure that there was a second foul in the penalty area. I'd like to see cameras focussing on the penalty box perimeters.. That would help to clarify incidents. And the referee should have access to these images before it is referred to VAR. imo. The ref could still have final input.. In the end issues of relegation and success hang on good decisions and too bad if it takes a minute longer.
-
On the bench perhaps in case Theo should tire in the second half (when Djenepo could swap sides) But too early to start I would think . I'm slightly worried about Ings returning too soon.
-
I agree, a good time to start Diallo..
-
Surely, that's about energy and could well be linked to post virus. I don't think there's anything to worry about Armstrog's skills that a rest can't cure.
-
So would this mean that our young academy prospects don't get opportunities to play in the first team?
-
Any streams for those of us who don't have Sky?
-
Weren't there price caps at the time when selling academy players? I do remember that he delayed signing for Arsenal until he was little older which meant we could receive a bit more for his transfer.

On the Manure site about Saints:- 'They are arguably the best pressing team in the world. VDB has to play this game.' Another fan is relying on VAR, lol. Both teams' fans seem to be cautious of each other. Neither overconfident about this game, which suggest a draw is predicted. I'd take that, provided we all play to our best.

United were in scintillating form scoring four. With Redmond out, Theo with a damaged foot and no Ings we may struggle to contain them, I fear. Our midfield and defence will need to be at its very best.
-
I thought that Saints were looking a little leaden footed in the second half. I also think that Wolves tactics in the first half is to defend and aim to tire oppositions. A match of two halves and a draw was a good result in the end.
-
Nobody is congratulating Theo for putting us into the lead. His first goal for us, and there will be more! Well done Theo.
-
Football is about history. and Saints have a proud history, reflected in the design. Our crest is a proud, positive upbeat design and it It can be recognised from a distance. Most modern redesigns by clubs are impersonal, weak. and lack character.. No way change ours.
-
Has anyone seen Salisu in action in the B Team?
-
Yes. And let's also celebrate that despite only having four goals on target (according to the official stats) 100% were goals! When's the last time that happened? 😀😀😀😀
-
Exaggeration. Theo was good. He grew into the game. with some dangerous runs on the break, and his cross led to the second goal.. Go to Specsavers.
-
Don't let's start getting too overconfident and complacent again, like we did before the first two matches of the season.
-
So why wouldn't they learn from heir mistakes and adjust. We would,

It's now over a year since that important debacle, and it's old news now. We move on and leave the 'taters behind.
