Time for two rows of Saints legends now

Yeah, the way international football is going, they are the danger teams.

If that's so, It's not good that out there if it's thought that Saints are willing to spend exorbitant amounts for targets.

Why is it that every new kit is worse than the previous season's, lol? We should have known that Virgin's first kit would have our players wearing a bra. And a messy one at that.

I'm not sure that I agree. Puel is know to be a pragmatist, and for me that is better than raw, possibly naive, optimism. Before we achieved 6th place our first aim has always been to avoid relegation, let's not forget. Then it was a top ten place, and so on. Realistic planning for me, and anything is possible. We are going to have some tough early away games. So starting with minimum 6th place/semi final demands will only lead to disappointment -to begin with. Of course we all want success, but first things first. And Puel has the experience to know how to plan for three matches in a week, which we will need.

Disappointed to see Sammy, who has been such a popular and infectious cheerleader for the team, go. I'm intrigued as to who might be his replacement. Good luck Sammy, you've done Saints proud.

It would help if so many 'expert' fans stopped dissing their own players and pillering scapegoats, especially young players. Give them a chance to succeed.

Good point. He's already been condemned on this site, almost as soon as his name was first announced, and by some knowledgable posters. Which must make Puel a very good appointment.

What a dreary pointless op

Why on earth do some people want others to fail? I would rather Saints players be the best of the best. I would rather watch two excellent sets of players in a Saints v Liverpool match in which Mane played well for Liverpool, but our opposite number was even better. That's the kind of entertainment I look forward to.

What do we replace it with? Les Read?

Exactly. Only quality players will bring success. We have to buy wisely. We don't want lots of average players on long contracts.
