54 points AND a better goal difference! I just can't see that happening, thanks to lord Lowe.

Lowe Out!

We are where we are because for the last couple of years the management have not understood the basics of providing adequate specialist defenders for the team. JPV has weak material to work with. Plus defensive tactics and strategies are simply naiive.

I noticed during this weeks Euro matches how many times teams had men defending the posts when threatened. This evening three of Coventry's goals were stabbed in by the far post. I have often thought that Saints so frequently leave themselves vulnerable there, especially during set play situations. Is it just me that thinks Saints are tactically naiive defending the goals around the posts? Certainly Chris Coleman and his Coventry team had done their homework.

Thank goodness

Because he was being well paid here while long term injured?

In past years we have frequently staved off relegation by fortunately having a great keeper between the sticks. We know who they are. They are all Saints legends. This year once again we are very dependent on the form of a very good keeper. Kelvin is the key to our season. If he can avoid injury, the youngsters have every opportunity of growing in confidence, and who knows what they can achieve. But if Davis is injured we are likely to be in trouble.

Kelvin Davis- are saints fans the most fickle in the league?
eelpie replied to shurlock's topic in The Saints
I think it harsh to blame Kelvin for the late goals at QPR. The team were really knackered after fighting back from Dexter's early goal and being one player down. The whole team imploded at the end under QPR's massive, physical assault on the goal. -
I've often thought Saints should be sponsored by The Samaritans. Seriously, all forms of depression should not be treated lightly. Perhaps Saints could support charities like them and Bipolar Disorder/depression charities such as Aware. http://www.aware.ie/index.htm The club does have a good record of supporting important causes, and the response from supporters has always been very positive. One of the many things that makes be proud to be a Saints fan.

Some Saints fans are not only fickle, but seriously lacking in the ability to make reflective judgements. Most on this forum (am I being too generous?) do contribute interesting views and coherent opinions (notably except Scooby of course) imo. But everyone has a right to react as they please. Though it really is irritating sometimes to hear some of the irrational remarks made at the grounds about whoever is the latest scapegoat. In balance, some of the chants at matches are hilarious. That's what I like about being in the crowd. The unpredictability. (Not to mention the match.) lol -
Averaging one goal a match so far? Not good enough for Saints

Drew did well to take on the responsibility of penalty taker. But why do we not have a striker capable of doing the job? I hope our end of season fate is not dependent on penalties

Billy Davis's victories a couple of seasons ago included many 1-0 wins.

Who's coming on Tuesday to watch Saints trounce Norwich? A good attendance and three points. Just what we need. The lads deserve it. COYR

He has admitted to being a Saints supporter, so why Ipswich?

If Lowe wasn't at the game, may he never see a Saints match again! COYR

Clueless Lowe.

Actually The Dell often filled up to nearly 30,000 before seats were compulsory. Admission was cheaper however.

Well I was born just before the war, and well remember being in the air raid shelters, even at that age, and they certainly weren't empty.

AS many of his have been shouting ever since Pearson was overlooked by Lowe.
