  1. I would say that a good bet is to go to the match tomorrow and enjoy the bar.

    Team news

How many other 'key' players are officially awayl?
  3. .. But Jan and the squad MUST rethink their defensive strategies.
  4. And while Saints attendance is down 26 percent, Cardiff's attendance in contrast is up around 30 percent. 56% difference!!! Someone tell me that this has nothing to do with management at directorial level since the end of last season. It is shear bunkum to blame Saints catastrophic drop in attendances to the credit squeeze as Wilde claims.
  5. No chance with our current defence tactics and relatively inexperienced/modest back four.
  6. Perhaps SFC should start a new six a side league for unemployed Senior 'masters'. How many other clubs have unused players in their ranks?
  7. So whereabouts are the Reserves in their table? The OS table only credits them with two wins. Come on OS - wake up!
  8. Chris Nichol is very under-rated. His teams were solid at the back (perhaps he should be next manager) and established themselves well in the top division.
  9. Is that a misspelling of 'Saintised'?
  10. A couple of pints of beer in the concourse. Time for real ale! Lowe out. Abbot and Green King in!
  11. I didn't buy a season ticket this year, simply because I now work most Tuesday evenings. Too many matches are on Tuesday evenings. The club needs to factor this into their pricing system.
  12. Proves what a massive error Lowe made in returning to control the club. The fans simply have no confidence in his policies. We know that even if the youngsters do well, they are going to be sold off. Disilusioned supporters have turned away in droves. The last match of last season was the highest attendance in the Championship. Had he allowed Pearson to rebuild the team as a blend of youth and experience we would have maintained the attendances of last season and massively improved our income from gates - compared to now. Lowe out!
  13. Is he saying he made Saints better at getting worse?
  14. So as a taxpayer I now own part of Saints debt via Barclays. I sack Rupert Lowe.
  15. Just one thing .... he hasn't acknowledged that tactically we are just plain naiive defensively.
  16. I look forward to the day that the Premiership goes bust.
  17. Exactly. The foolishness of Lowe in rejecting Lucketti (and Pearson) in favour of green youngsters, aging ordinary defenders, and untried management is becoming clearer as the season progresses.
  18. The only relevant comparison is Nigel Pearson, and we escaped relegation by a whisker. 11 points is not enough, so far.
  19. I loved the heap of nuts at the beginning...
  20. Perhaps he could spend this unexpected windfall on a couple of defenders.
  21. Anything can certainly happen while we persist in playing without specialist defenders, and more clubs suss our gaping weaknesses - ie incapable of defending the far posts and set pieces. THE FORWARDS ARE DOING OK, IF NOT BRILLIANTLY, BUT TACTICALLY IN DEFENCE WE HAVEN'T A CLUE.
  22. Nikh, you don't really see us making a profit on our current attendances, surely?
  23. I have to disagree. Take a straw poll of anyone on this site, and if asked would we have survived relegation if Poortvliet had been manager for the last weeks of last season, and I bet I know what the outcome would have been.
