Has Skacel signed yet?
-
The jury is out. If he is good enough to save us from the drop (and he was thought good enough to nearly be appointed in preference to Burley) why wasn't he appointed head coach in the first place?

Hoddle: Premiership opposition Burley: CCC opposition

Teachers who go on strike or demos without Union support and backing are always in a vulnerable position. In a democracy this is regrettable, but unfortunately often true. -
Demonstration for Swansea game- Time and place!!

Ok I will be joining the demo to protest against the regime and its decisions (or lack of them) that are ruining our club. And the regimes removal. I would also like to demonstrate for the immediate appointment of a an experienced manager from outside the club. So are what are other issues that demonstrators will be highlighting? (Don't all rush at once) -
I'm going to offer a possible two alternatives: 1. Lose 4-1 (Saga) Nothing has changed - sack Wotte. 2. Draw 1-1 (new coach effect - all hope of an experienced manager from outside the club gone. Followed by a disastrous series of losses)
-
Lowe has already instructed his PR machine through the media to blame absent fans for Saints troubles. To stay away plays into his hands. More importantly, I support protesting outside the stadium, but believe we should BACK THE TEAM INSIDE.
-
I did wonder if 'his' notes were written by Wilde though. They are written in the official club wordsmith's style. They probably just send him a courtesy copy for his 'signature'.
-
That the fans must support the team is a no-brainer. Daft for anyone to suggest otherwise. We are fed up with Lowe's disastrous return (and previous regime's ****-ups) but we ALL want the team to play its way out of relegation. Of course regime change is required. Results are required desperately too. Now. I will be joining the march on Saturday, but will NOT be demonstrating during the match. I will be giving my wholehearted support to the team, even when we are 2-0 down. Because I believe in 'never say die'. I will be demonstrating after the match. Let's not confuse priorities.

Shameless

Exactly. We are in no position to take chances. Time is running out.

I remember quite well that the fans opposition to Hoddle was very vociferous. The Board did indeed over-rule Lowe and decided not to appoint Hoddle, but I am sure that the Board were influenced by the strong feeling among a large proportion of the fanbase. Ironically they did not want to fuel dissent in the club by re-appointing such a controversial manager. I hope this helps.

Waals?

Rating only 5. 'Below average -Some faults, nothing overtly impressive." Well done Rupert. A suitable replacement for not good enough Rasiak, Stern John, Dyer etc etc ? And will he be replacing Saga? Oh ye of little ambition.

TDD in Southampton shocker!
-
Is that why the Kingsland faithful leave the matches 15 minutes early?
-
I think we know the answer. Add also the cost of the blind leading the blind when it comes to signing poor players we have never or hardly used.
-
Kelvin, more than anyone else is the main hope we have of survival. And his heart is with Saints. We ALL need to be at St Mary's getting behind him AND the whole team ffs. Demos yes. But NOT DURING MATCHES! That would be so counter-productive and it would let Rupert off the hook. He has already started a PR campaign blaming the fans for our troubles. So Back Kelvin. Back the whole team, including the manager DURING matches. And don't do the oppositions job for them.

Here we go again. Another opportunity for Southampton supporters to diss one of their own players? No wonder they under-peform when they get on the pitch at St Mary's. Quite honestly the way we treat our footballers makes we think we deserve our fate.
-
Perhaps there should be a mass p**ss on the front doors of SMS.

Can someone clarify. Are we talking about shareholders of the SLH? Because I haven't been informed of any meeting. (edit. I didn't think the Saints Trust had shareholders, unless they mean by being a member of The Saints Trust one is a proxied shareholder in SLH.. More confusing)

Hitler, extract from Wikepedia: 'Having failed in overthrowing the Republic by a coup, Hitler pursued a "strategy of legality": this meant formally adhering to the rules of the Weimar Republic until he had legally gained power. He would then use the institutions of the Weimar Republic to destroy it and establish himself as dictator.' -
They have done it before before. £1 a share, I believe is what it cost them to make millions at our expense.
