  1. Agree
  2. 1 - 0 ( Surman)
  3. Nor the last photos taken at training
  4. I bought a packet of crisps in the Itchen Saturday last.
  5. But would the deadline be immediately we apply for administration, or is there going to be a delay for paperwork, meaning we might miss the deadline if we wait until the last minute?
  6. At least Rasiak, who scored to give Watford three points on Saturday, won't be playing against us. Yes, we are capable of winning all of these. Tiredness might be an issue though, so I reckon 10 points from these games. Survival depends on others tripping up, I fear.
  7. Rasiak scores for Watford earning them a win instead of a draw. So lending him out to another CCC club is probably going to be more disastrous and expensive - if relegation is between us and them at the end of season match - than keeping him here! Stupid Lowe Stupid Wilde
  8. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/ray-ranson-sky-blue-thinking-1639167.html Would we be in a better position now if Ranson's Hedge Fund had taken us over? Was it just Lowe who spiked the deal? Do we know any more about what went on behind the scenes then? Just curious. But best of luck to Coventry in the cup. I want all CCC clubs to do well against Premiership teams, especially Chelsea.
  9. Were there not renewed rumours of Hoddle returning then? Hence fans disquiet?
  10. Twice. (instead of Euell?) Has he two 50/50 chances of playing? lol ??????
  11. I have mixed feelings. I believe the emphasis on individual and passing skills benefited considerably (comparing for example with the woeful standards of Burley's teams). And despite misgivings I was willing to see how it worked out in results. But the tactics were too predictable, and after the early successful flush, opposing teams soon sussed us out, and JP had no answer. To persist with one hapless striker upfront was sheer stupidity. I can only surmise that JP's tactics were strictly to instructions from the Fuerer.
  12. 1-1 Realistically, but with some optimism. The spoils are even between the two teams so far thus season. I would be statisfied with this result - but the players must go for the win.
  13. I like this one too: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11458&cp=10 "This is what I'll do to Lowe if he tells me to play with one striker"
  14. It has always been good strategy to blood the younger players. Burley left them in the cold. Pearson does it sensibly at Leicester. Even Redknapp knew what he was doing. JP/Lowe/Wilde did it for political reasons.
  15. Add to Legends: Paine and Sydenham (for their legendary partnership), Channon, Ball, Ted Bates, Charlie Wayman, Derek Reeves (Because some of the younger generation may have not heard of some of these heroes does not diminish their important place in our rich history) Add to Icons: All the Cup Winning team not already there, CB Fry, Alf Ramsey, Jimmy Melia. Dave Jones did a good job, but his stay was cut short, and he might well have become an icon. Perhaps we need another category for that rarity: the 'Respected' or 'Roll of Honour'. (PS= we had better spell Nieme's name right before it is carved in stone) Edit: Why do we always forget big Ron -surely one of our greatest legends?
  16. I don't see how anyone can get a meaningful appraisal of Liptik from about five minutes of play. He hasn't done anything wrong. He shored up the defence for the last crucial minutes of two games when we frequently have conceded and lost games recently. He is tall and made some crucial headers. He has everything to prove.
  17. I agree - based on recent results. WE complained that Lowe got rid of a successful manager when he took over. If Wotte is successful in keeping is up, he should be backed by us to continue next year imo.
  18. I believe that protests outside the stadium create adrenaline and a sense of purpose in the stadium, which reflects positively on the players. Hasn't done too badly so far since we started protesting. I liked the wreath at Ted Bates statue last week for all to see. Should be repeated imo. (No protests in the stadium during matches though.)
  19. It's dangerous to defrost too quickly. Can cause the collywobbles.
  20. Its too late to change horses midstream in the rapids.
  21. In a nutshell And Saga in preference to Rasiak.
  22. How about the Blessed Mule then? Or Mighty Mule?
  23. To be fair to JP, I doubt they would have had much chance under GB (and we would be in administration).
  24. Everyone from QPR downwards are mathematically in the relegation zone. We can send them down (mathematically speaking)!
