  1. It's a measure of Lloyd's progress that we are concerned that he is suspended for two crucial matches. I am.
  2. I don't think it is fair to be publically cynical about anyone for being over the moon because we had a run of three wins. Really I don't. I bet you were too, weren't you? No. I'm not positive, just not dead yet. Perhaps we should make the most of our last hours in the middle tier.
  3. To be fair, although on the pitch a few minutes, twice, Lipto headed away a few dangerous shots, and he is tall and looks like he can handle the aggro.
  4. The buck stops with Lowe. But he will always blame the fans and every other reason other than himself for the poor results and the reasons he had to keep changing managers so often etc, etc
  5. I fear we are most likely to achieve only 8 points, which is near our seasons average.
  6. It is true that managers with reputations have a better chance of persuading the more skilled players to sign.
  7. lol - I don't know how to change the leader to read 'march'.
  8. Well, we all know Lowe and Wilde want to cling to power for as long as possible.
  9. I blame the protesters for not protesting earlier.
  10. 'arry used to sat that Jim roasted the team when they were doing badly. Lowe appointed nice guys who the players really did not respect. Yes, it was another disastrous mistake to waste money appointing the rugby theorist in preference to Jim. I do believe that from this time Redknapp felt he was just keeping Clive Woodward's seat warm, and from then on he just wanted out. Why wasn't there a saviour around to buy up shares, call an EGM and oust Lowe? Oh...
  11. Is it coincidence that the season's best performances - home and away - have been at a time when passions have been aroused following the protest marches? The team seems to have slumped into apathy again. On Saturday they were not physically tired, just not focussed nor inspired. Is it time to have another protest march outside (not inside) St Mary's against Charlton? Adrenalin inspires. And wins matches.
  12. So it is admitted that we need strengthening. Why wait so long to come to this conclusion? Our competitors strengthened long ago.
  13. Brilliant spot, trousers. I expect their manager has done an equally good analysis of our team's strength and weaknesses. Are we a better team than the one that played so well at Loftus Road (despite naively gifting QPR easy goals)? I nervously predict 1-1.
  14. Not on our record against the weaker teams I fear.
  15. Watford, Donny and Derby are above us. So not good enough.
  16. I don't think we needed to keep Rasiak AND John AND Saga here - because of the financial situation. But it was 1. Madness to loan all out. 2. Madness to loan John and Rasiak to competitor CCC clubs. 3. Madness not to have Saga here, and on the pitch, upfront with another striker. Similarly, I think it has not been wise of fans who could have been attending matches to stay away simply because Lowe returned, because we needed large attendances to be able to afford these guys. Were Lowe not here attendances would have been higher, that's for sure - a chicken and egg situation. If Rasiak and John had been here, Lowe wouldn't have allowed them to play anyway, so results and attendances would have dipped. It all comes back to Lowe and his meddling in team affairs. But we have all got a job to do, whatever the historic rights and wrongs. Be at St Mary's in full voice whenever we can. The Lowe out boycott should be temporarily suspended imho until we are either mathematically saved from relegation - or not. Either way, Lowe must be gone by the end of the summer.
  17. And Barnsley and Forest? So we are relegated then. I can't see us realistically getting more than 48 or 49 points. But anything IS possible.
  18. I agree. Now is the time for ALL fans to be at St Mary's in force for the reasons you have stated. The Lowe boycotts can resume if we become mathematically relegated. We are all needed in full voice meantime. And we need to do our bit towards paying for the experienced players we have been demanding, like Saha and Euell, if we are to survive relegation and bankruptcy.
  19. Be there! COYR!
  20. I've just done The Predictor and am amazed that we finish in 19th place with 48 points and the same goal difference as we have now -16! Of course the heart rules the head when doing these things, but reassuring is the number of times that lowly clubs play each other. If the lads keep on plugging away and manage not to ship goals, anything is possible. Saints 48 points Barnsley 47 Doncaster 46 Relegated: Notts Forest 46 Norwich 40 Charlton 37
  21. At the AGM a couple of years ago I asked Leon Crouch if he would guarantee that no Saints player would be loaned out to a CCC club for this very reason. He would not. I was shocked. It is madness.
  22. I see Derby have loaned midfielder Eustace from Watford for tomorrow's match. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/7932458.stm Any good?
