Best he stays at Sky and promotes the club. Can someone send Saint Robbie's thread to MLT and anyone associated with Saints to promote the selling of the club? Matt has a wonderful platform to do this on Sky. He only has to point out Saint Robbie's excellent list of reasons for buying the club. Quote:- "My starters for 10 to any investor: 1. Infrastructure of Premiership quality. 2. One of the most successful youth academies in the country - the best certainly in the South. 3. A family-oriented, hardly any trouble club with kids everywhere in the ground and a friendly atmosphere. 4. A marketable name abroad - THE SAINTS 5. THE BIGGEST SLEEPING FAN BASE in the South. 6. Tradition. 7. A dynamic red and white strip - marketable. 8. Superstar association - MLT, Shearer, Mick Channon... the list goes on. 9. A sound bunch of young players to build upon. 10. The ability to attract high quality managers (and now the potential to hold on to them with Lowe's removal) 11. Optimistic fan base once more."

I just can't imagine the last day.

It is important however that the administrator does know that Rupert Lowe would not be acceptable to SFC customers, should he have the audacity to attempt to buy the club. It is a non-starter. I agree, this is no time for pointless animosity. We all have to get over the hurt and concentrate on saving the club.

Your negativity is fair enough. We have all been guilty of this. But for most of us any football club is better than none. So if we are bumming around in the lower divisions for a while so be it. The first aim is to save the club. With whatever means possible. 'Saints Forever' it must be. But 'forever in the lower divisions' it doesn't have to be.

Lowe knew in November that with £1 million less overdraft facility from Barclays that we were doomed, but chose to wait until after 26th March to take us to administration. We all know the consequences of this error in judgement.

...and a further points deduction
-
Although Wilde was/is a fool imho, he did at least put his money where his mouth was in buying shares to force Rupert out. A pity he was not man enough to see it through.

It's a mutual, isn't it?

£500
-
Because he said he would prefer to earn a bit of overtime than attend Saturday's game?
-
£500 from me
-
I would invest £500 in a fans based consortium.

My grandfather was born two years after St Mary's church football team was formed. That is how long Saints are imbedded in our family. Only Saints. Saints till I die. Martin

From the BBC: 'In a statement, joint-administrator Mark Fry said: "Southampton Football Club has a long history in English football and could be an extremely attractive investment for the right buyer. "We are working hard to preserve the value of the football club and produce a positive outcome for all stakeholders, and I ask that fans continue to show their support for the team for the remainder of the season as we seek to show the best face possible to potential investors." ' So it's up to us to pursuade others to return.

Saturday will be the first match of the season for some! Welcome back guys and gals!
-
Wilde and Lowe have just been escorted from the premises

there would be mayhem if he does -
I agree. I hereby reject the idea of a protest march. But we need to find a tangible way of demonstrating our solidarity behind the team, and for the sale of the club - in addition to FILLING the stadium every match this season.
-
That is getting somewhere
-
If current and previous supporters unite behind the club, and prove to the world how strong and numerous Saints following really is, we will survive! There is no alternative
-
Then it should not be a protest but a mass demonstration of support for SFC. Show the world that we are all united behind SFC.
-
Protest march from The Bargate at 1.00. Who's organising it? Who's going? I am.

Our ex-financial wizard Lowe should have been managing our day-to-day affairs as he is paying himself to do, and made sure that there was money to cover that £110.000, even if it meant putting the money in himself, so that the half year figures could have been published before deadline. He has now cost us an unnecessary 10 points next season in league 1. Twit.
