  1. With hindsight we now know that Burley's plans have cost us the club.
  2. Crouch said so himself (unintentionally).
  3. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11735 Just had to post this. Whenever you do decide, Michael, the club will never forget your brilliant time here. Always a Saint.
  4. [quote=Scudamore;284980. ... would be considered a big **** you to Doncaster. You lot seem to be forgetting the fact that the picture was never in fact the ownership of Rupert Lowe. It was a gift to Southampton FC. Just a question ... Why would Doncaster want to gift Rupert Lowe/SFC a picture of one of their trains? Nothing to do with Saints capitulating 1-2 to Doncaster, I'm sure.... Now that's downright silly. It's not as if Rupert Lowe would allow himself to be entertained by one of our key Championship rivals is it?....
  5. That would be the FA wont' it if we haven't got HMRC clearance?
  6. I agree, (but isn't it the train picture the club's main asset now?)
  7. Apparently not.
  8. Of course the Directors of Noots Forest are going to invite Rupert Lowe, the man who has probably done more to secure their CCC status than anyone. They will probably erect a statue to him.
  9. Souness more likely. However if it were 'arry, we would seriously need to revise our opinion of him. He would be able to attract the money. He has the contacts and knowledge. He is English (which is a big plus for me) and would surely be in it for the long term. Despite 'history' he has never said anything derogatory agin Saints as a club (I can be corrected), only his issues with rosychops, as far as I know. We are a better prospect than Bournemouth, his first 'spiritual home, too. He might be thinking of a post-managerial career as a club owner which he can build up, since no-one lasts long at the helm at Spurs. Just a thought. Given alternatives between extinction, or even Lowe, or Quinton @ co, or Redknapp, I'd choose the latter anyday. As we have all said, 'Beggars etc.
  10. It's so sad that no-one wants to talk about football anymore.
  11. "Harry Redknapp was always saying 'We need to buy players, we need to buy players' without looking after the good players that we already had here and I think that was part of the problem." I had to read this twice, before getting the significance of what Joe was saying. Perhaps Joe is a manager for the future. (Mods, I hope I am not infracted for pasting from our dear old OS)
  12. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11728 Some salient comments here. How many tough players do we have that can play hard and fast? I can't think of any apart from Kelvin, Size, Perry and Wotton. McGoldrick has the strength, but he does sulk when things don't go his way. Wotton is certainly brave, but he is slow. Any others? If we couldn't do it in the Championship, how will we do it in League 1? We do have the skills, but we will need physical additions to the (smaller) squad imho.
  13. Who said we have appeal, Alps?
  14. Stu, you've gone up in my estimation!
  15. Unless you are in football and can cope with further points deducted -like Luton etc.
  16. Forensic Hooligan. Brill. We'll all be having our DNA checked before we're allowed to go to footie next. lol
  17. I'm looking forward to the local derby against Winchester
  18. The FA will judge. It matters b****r all what any of us think. Better that it had never happened. The crowds on the pitch whether for sentimental/emotional reasons, or on it for a rumble, will all have to bear the inevitable, dire consequences, like the rest of us. Goodbye Saints.
  19. The Northam could be renamed 'Lucy Pinder Stand' Might take their mind off the footie.
  20. Spooky. My cat's just been sick on my shirt and it looks a sort of ass-shaped Rupert's head.
  21. No, it's copyright law.
  22. I miss those
  23. From Coca Cola League to coke?
