  1. Any internationally know organisation would rethink and act when it has created a disaster. It is never too late.
  2. That should read 'sponser's logo , of course.
  3. It is spurious to suggest that a sensor's logo and the design of the shirt cannot be seamlessly designed together. We are not a club that depends on charity handouts to be able to afford a professional design worthy of a top club. Aren't LD supposed to be paying to sponsor the shirt? And since the shirts have been withheld because of whatever ball-ups, why not rethink the total design. There is no reason why the white stripe shouldn't be wide enough to accommodate the full LD logo. And I thought that chinese lettering was vertical. So why not have it within the white stripe so that ir doesn't cross-over stripes. Then get a half descent designer to finish the job ffs. - Including the LD basketball.

    Che Adams

I heard Skacel has signed too.
  5. Any in particular? We've all had a good laugh at forum suggestions. Shirts, especially striped shirts, are the most difficult product to design, not least because of a clutter of logos that have to be included. But the design needs to to be kept as simple as possible to have a striking impact. Messy logos, like LD Sports, don't help at all. My favourite Saints home shirt was the one players wore during our Cardif cup final year. Last season's was quite good too despite the size of the Virgin logo (but at least virgin's logo is a simple shape). I hated the 'bra' shirt. I would never wear that. And it doesn't look like I'll be buying this year's offering either.
  6. Saints have been renown for the quality of their design image for some years (dare I say it - since Lowe took over and we played in the new stadium) So why is it suddenly that it's ok for amateurish graphics to become our trademark to the world? Not for me.
  7. I hope you are in a minority if you don't care if the home shirt looks like ****. It's about psychology. It's about pride in the way our heroes look. And how they respond on the pitch while wearing it. Have you forgotten how Manure had to change their drab grey shirt at half time because they were being thrashed by Saints?
  8. I;mpleased we have signed him, and that is better than signing him on the last transfer day. Meanwhile it is our defence that needs bolstering. And it really is crucial that we bring in whoever Ralph wants with plenty of pre-season time to work on.
  9. I await with no hope that out awful home kit will be ditched.
  10. Correction: this morning.
  11. I watched Dean Radford's impassioned statement on the BBC this afternoon. Very courageous to go public. He was a good footballer, and it is horrendous to think about what he and others suffered while in the Saints Academy This shames the club forever.
  12. Was he responsible for approving the hideous home shirt design?
  13. No respecting team should wear grey. The psychology of grey is that it is boring, weak and feeble.
  14. But who is our shirt sponse? Virgin or LD?
  15. It really is a dog's dinner of a design. In 70 years of supporting Saints this is the worst Saints shirt design I have ever seen. Appalling mess. League 2 standard
  16. With what money? We can't afford to let Sam go on a free, surely.
  17. True. The singing just is not Premiership standard. Get Gareth Malone in.
  18. That applies to everyone. Reassuring to know that SFC fans are such positive optimists. (not)
  19. Why is LD in Pompey colours? Better not in black , but why blue? The chinese text also would be better not in black (or blue).
  20. The LD logo is cluttered and quite hideous.
  21. It's also arch enemy Spurs v arch enemy Liverhampton. May the best team etc....
  22. How about TSW awarding Fran a spot on our website banner above? There's room, and he is one of the very best of Saints.
  23. Hang on. No time for deck chairs. This is a must win game. If we lose and Brighton win, we'll be bottom of the non-relegated teams. The shame of that.
  24. The forum seems to assume that we don't need any more points. But Brighton could easily overtake us if we should lose here and if Huddersfield do what relegated teams often do, play their socks off and sneak an unlikely victory. I would hate to end up in 17th place below Brighton. Yes , give some deserving youngsters a chance in the next two games, but not by weakening the team's ability to win.
