Well played Saints, thoroughly professional performance this afternoon. Sat in my usual seat in Block 29, I have to say I was utterly astounded at the impatience of the people around me, urging us to lump it forward when 1-0 up against 10 men in sweltering heat. It beggars belief that these people couldn't understand the reasons for our style of play, the start whinging as soon as 'pool had any possession Anyway, rant over José Fonte Baby.....

Speaking of the Academy.....Theo & G Bale going toe-to-toe at White Hart LOL tonight. What did we sell them for in the end? I know we accepted reduced lump sums in the end.

Conners looked different class when he came on, constanly on the shoulder, intelligent runs. He'll bring something different to the remainder of our season if he can stay fit. Not sure he'd have Barney's energy levels for 90 mins but there's definitely goals in him. Feel bad for Barney, he looked in a lot of pain and we could do without him being injured for the run in. Any other big players who fancy getting injured now? It's starting to get a bit of a joke.

Genuinely terrifying watching a re-run of the 10th & 12th. Even I coud do better than that

I want another prem team at home, or a nice away day at the Emirates or OT. Nice as the cup is, it's not a priority so a glamour tie would suit me. Great performance from the team today, Puncheon is a different player to the one that left for Millwall. Couldn't quite get a handle on the formation today, strange with Barney & Lambo staying out wide for long periods. It worked though as we were utterly, utterly dominant. Guly's goal was Brilliant 24 hours for the club & fans. COYR!

I never meant they would stick 5 past us, just that it wouldn't be unlike Saints to go there, with momentum behind them, and get beat! To be fair to NA though, other than the Brentford game we haven't shown those sort of tendencies. My main concern now though is making sure we keep hold of the crown jewels.

This exactly what I said on the way back from the game and I'm normally of the optimistic persuasion! Happy with the win. Lambo's goal was a highlight and hopefully he can kick on now. Strange game really as didn't feel like a 4-1 performance. Losing Chambo & Lallana, now or in the summer, scares the crap out of me.

Loved every minute of it today. Two marauding full backs, rock solid in the middle, hassling and harrying without the ball, attacking with pace with it. And NA says there's more to come! Lambo has got to start firing soon, surely? Other than that, fantastic to a man today. And to think that I said to my fellow STHs before the game that I had a nasty feeling about today. Me of little faith

Adam was class today. We've missed him big time. Despite the pens, Lambo still looks well short of last season. He looks frustrated but if he relaxes it will come. Happy with Chaplow too, get him in for the long term for me. Then we need some striking options and we're sorted. B'muff fans were saying "2-0 to the referee" but they were wrong. 3 clear pens from where I was sat, so 2-1 would have been a fair result.

Truly, utterly stunned. Thanks Marcus for everything you did for our club. Without you, there would be no Saints. I hope the day out at Wembley gave you a great deal of satisfaction. Such a shame you now won't be here to share future glories. My condolences to his family and NC who I believe was close to the big man. Forever a Saint Saints Forever RIP
