  1. Very true, but as already said in another thread, the post match analysis by shearer was more accurate.

    The Boruc Save

    You mean vs Leeds, surely?
  3. Why do you think it's wrong?
  4. No goals scored in 2 games. Baggies with all the possession today and pressing us in our own half without it. Was it just a lacklustre performance or have other teams worked us out under MoPo? If so, I worry that we don't have a Plan B. Maybe we just need more effective players brought in to execute the strategy. Really not sure how I feel about things right now. I'm not usually one for knee jerking but it was men against boys today, completely out of the blue.
  5. MoPo's interview on Sky before the game yesterday was interesting. When challenged that the team don't do well against the lesser clubs, he explained that it's difficult to press in the opposition half when the ball spends so much time in the air! How this will translate into our game plan for the next game will be interesting.
  6. I think I'm starting to get a bit carried away with myself
  7. My best mate's 7 year old son was admitted to Southampton General on Friday afternoon having been diagnosed with Leukemia. It came as a real hammer blow to his family, not least as they were due to fly to Florida today for 3 weeks to spend Christmas and New Year with family who live over there. Having been in theatre this morning, I'm so pleased that he recovered in time to see the lads when they visited. Lambo signed his shirt for him and they chatted about his fantasy team, which Lambo is in. He's actually in one of the photo's, sat on Fonte's knee with his elder brother (my godson) sat to his left on the other side of Ramirez. Life can be so cruel and we've got everything crossed for Isaac and his family as he starts on this challenging journey at such a young age. After what has been an incredibly difficult week the team visit gave the whole family a massive boost (not to mention all of the other kids and families on the ward), at the exact time when they really need to be thinking positively. The players & staff spent several hours posing for photos and chatting with the kids on various wards. Massive respect to the whole squad for taking the time to visit and put smiles on the faces of everyone on the ward. I don't think I've ever awarded a badger before, but I think the occasion more than calls for it here because of the smiles that were created yesterday afternoon. In case anyone's wondering, the Pompey fan shown in the photos raised sponsorship to wear the Saints shirt. Not sure how much but the photos suggest he saw it through so to him for that.
  8. J-Rod needs a run in the team now, could really see his confidence growing after the goal. I don't care what Boruc did, you don't boo your own players. That's going back to a dark place in Saints' history.
  9. I don't see what the problem is, we're one place higher in the league than we were this time last season. Fact.

  11. What a great afternoon. Really pleased MartyG1950 was able to get down for the promotion party We are Premier League, say We are Premier League! Won it for Marcus.
  12. The fact that they are in the Championship?
  13. So much this. Ireally hope the players steer well clear of this place until after the Cov game.
  14. Like a fly to sh1t!
  15. Message to pant wetters - review your post tomorrow and advise if you still feel that way. It is in our hands, we will not **** this up. That is all.
  16. Was chatting to the lads I go to games with the other day and said it wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't go up, as another season of expecting to win would be good. Now I'm absolutely devastated that we've handed the league title over like that, albeit with a massive helping hand from a linesman and a ref. Still in our hands though
  17. I fancy Billy to score another. He looks up for it today and is improving with every game.
  18. In Nigel we trust.
  19. I'd have to disagree completely with that. I was in seated at the very far left of the Saints fans as we looked at the pitch and in some cases they were 2 deep in the aisle. There was absolultely no attempt by the stewards to deal with it as the fans were generally well behaved. A policeman also saw someone with a beer, but the guy must have been about 10-15 seats in and, when the copper pointed it out to a steward, he postured as if to do something about it, but you could tell he wasn't really bothered and it was forgotten about. As away stewards go, I thought Palace were absolutley fine and just let us get on with enjoying the game.
  20. He got a good reception today & was roundly applauded for some tackles he put in once on the pitch. I certainly didn't hear any booing today so not sure why he didn't want to hang around at full time.
