  1. I bought this design off you last week - zero credits, bargain!
  2. Agreed. After I first did the FLM, I had all sorts of knee problems. Saw a Podiatrist who sorted me out with some orthotics (shoe inserts) and haven't looked back since.
  3. So, if this is all to be believed, they will successfully re-negotiate terms and repayments of the existing debt and this will enable them to start buying players again. In my mind, this will require funds to be provided by a 3rd party, since the projected future revenues will no doubt be "owned" by the creditors until monies owed are repaid. Using future revenues, how long will it take to manage down this debt before any investor can start taking some of that cash him/herself by way of a return on their investment? By that time, they will surely be a CCC team or worse and the TV income would have all but dried up. Would they be an attractive proposition to a new investor as a CCC team with substantially less debt, a dilapidated stadium and no training facilities? I'm trying to see this from a neutral's point of view and I always come to the same conclusion. In no way can this generate a return in the short to medium term for an investor, no matter how deep his pockets. Likewise, without the investment in the team, relegation is, at best, a mere certainty. They're stuffed.
  4. Many congratulations on getting round, Hypo. I've done 2 FLM's myself so fully appreciate the effort, commitment and sheer strength of mind required to get round. I'm considering doing London and NY in 2011, assuming I can get places. Out of interest, how was the flight home? I find it bad enough in a car for 90 mins after London, so not sure how I'd cope with 6 or 7 hours on a plane. At least you can get up and walk around, or was it sleep all the way?!
  5. Is Thomas fit? If so then he can come in at RB and Lloydy can move into the middle. He's more of a ball winner than Mellis and that's exactly what we'll be missing if Hammo is unfit. Shame for Mellis that we've gone on this winning run while he was away. I was starting to see signs that he could do well for us.
  6. Fair play to him. I wore my Saints shirt to and from the Great South Run on Sunday - would never have done this in the past 2 or 3 seasons. Didn't have the balls to wear it for the race itself though. Received very few comments either - guess they're too busy firefighting to hassle a scummer!
  7. I wonder how far Ronnie Eckelund would be up the list but for his injury problems?
  8. In today's Times and can be found here Quite lengthy and not sure who the author is, but a good read all the same. Edit: it's actually dated yesterday so I'm surprised no one else picked this up!
  9. Or in the championship, for that matter.
  10. Definitely changed the game today but it's just as well he's got pace 'cos he can trap/control a ball further than I can kick it! Very raw talent for AP to work with if we can keep him a while longer.
  11. Fascinating reads so thanks to you both. Sounds like a happy camp to me and long may it continue.
  12. Sounds like a dating site for Skates to me!
  13. It's a long time since Saints fans have felt like this. I guess all will have some doubts at the back of their minds (ingrained after years of dross), but it won't stop me enjoying what we have at the moment. Onwards and upwards - COYR!
  14. Could not be happier. Great result, fantastic performance from team and fans alike, squad looking strong, good team spirit, fantastic management team, great attendances, one sensible owner. & 3 points off play off form! COYR!
  15. Great job lads. Players and supporters did us very proud tonight. Bring on Oldham.
  16. 3 points off play off form...
  17. Did anyone listen to the whole interview and can summarise what AP said?
  18. Someone else has been investigating this
  19. His confidence is sky high at the moment. Long may it continue. Top marks to all of the coaching staff for everything they're doing for Lallana and the rest of the squad.
  20. I hated the thought of going down the administration route and would have to say the close season (and pre-season) for me was without doubt the worst I have experienced as a 34 year old Saints fan. But hasn't it all turned out lovely?! Hindsight and all that...
  21. 6 games unbeaten before tonight and performances improving game after game. We also played well tonight save the last 20 mins and were undone by a strong team.
  22. Papa was poor tonight, Mellis should have stayed on as he was influential. Lallana looks so motivated at the moment, Jaidi was a class act until he tired, Trotman hardly put a foot wrong. I predicted at the start of the game that Rovers would overload us down their left and put James under pressure but they did the opposite - sods law says it was Harding's worst performance so far! I just wish I could work out why we took our foot off when we were cruising. For periods of the game we looked like a CCC side. If only Morgan had stuck that chance away at the start of the 2nd half. Fitness certainly looked to be an issue in the last 15 minutes of the game. I can understand people's anger about conceding a late goal like that, what i can't understand though are the negative pr1cks in Block 29 who whinged and moaned even when we were dominant. FWIW, Pardew In.
  23. I wrote one too, Saints related, but I was ignored!
  24. From today's Time's Transfer Live Chat with Gary Jacob: GJ has been somewhat ridiculed recently for the speculation he comes out with and changing tack on certain stories. With this message, though, he's been pretty consistent for a couple of weeks now.
  25. Confirmation, or guessing. This time last week he was quite specific that there were two big signings to come. He's only going on what AP has said on record ie that he hopes to have one or maybe two more in for the Brentford game. Hardly insightful journalism!
