I was reading the interview with him on Sky Sport News website yesterday... seems Echo have put 2 + 2 together and come up with 5. Pardew does interview saying we need attacking options. Vassell does interview saying looking for a club. Echo cobble the two articles together. I would be very suprised.

Ultimate in Kwahu-Tafo - our u-12s and u-17s recently won the Eastern region FA Cup and one of the u-17 has been selected for the Ghana national u-17 side. Where where you? Quite a few of the Ultimate boys are Saints fans :-)

He's originally from Ghana - I've worked with a football academy in Ghana and all the boys are registered several years below their real age - normally 2-4 years. I've seen a 16 yr old registered as 11 so he could play in an under 12 team - its why Ghana and Nigeria perform so well at under 20 level and fifa want to introduce bone scanning... I doubt he is 20... would still be a brilliant signing tho

I would be very suprised. People have too high expectations for this season, before the new owners came in I was happy just to have a club, and thought with the current squad we would be lucky not to get relegated again. This season is consolidation, bringing in new playing staff and getting rid of dead wood - it takes time to build a team - look at chelsea's first season or two under Abramovic or whats happening at Man City now. Need to give Pardew this season to build his team then at least half of next season before making any decisions

Where were all these people for all the other games - in the Cups and the League? I can't queue all night as have to work today, looks like I'll miss the first cup game home and away this season

Holmes was brilliant yesterday, got some good crosses in and even beat a few players Barnard hasn't really impressed me yet but need a bit of time Was very impressed with Fonte and Seaborne, Seaborne looked composed, agressive and won a lot in the air. Otsemobor looked quite good going forwards but once or twice got caught out of position Thought Mills had a poor game today, need Harding back in the line up Wotton gave 100% but isn't good enough for the team imo
