  1. Thanks guys have sent a quick email so hope will get same response. Got an away ticket one of the group hasn't so will have 2 others (got 3) to get rid of as well.
  2. Did you email Vitesse first or did you just receive the email?
  3. If interested I queued from just after 4.30 am as didn't want to risk online due to experience during the week with buying the home tickets and forcing me into a queue. There was only about 8 people in front and they said they had only got there until about 4.15 am. When I left I reckon there was only around 60-70, certainly not more than a 100 and got a ticket at 9.05 am and went past the queue after to take a photo of the UEFA flag. Queue at worst looking, this being spread out as many earlier people there had chairs, was barely at gate A in the Itchen.
  4. Was on the postal, so assume they're definatley not goign to post them out?!
  5. Has anyone had any other confirmation about tickets in the Vitesse home end? Not had anything apart from the original confirmation email.
  6. Don't listen to that miserable lot. Go down the bottom end of Town on High Street where there's the Bargate (old gatehouse to the city) then keep going where you'll find the bombed out church and memorial. Down there is a new German bar and a few medieval pubs like the Red Lion (High Street), Duke of Wellington (Bugle Street) and the Platform Tavern (platform Road). If ships are your thing go have a look at Mayflower Park, not great space but good view of the docks and the water. There is a new brewery and pub in the the old Wool House called the Dancing Man opposite the ferry terminal definitely worth a look. If old walls are your thing go round the corner and have a look, if not enjoy the different locally brewed ales! Seems most of the people in Southampton don't get out at all or make the most of their surroundings!!! ;-)
  7. Franny, Markus and CB Fry (the player not the poster on here!)
  8. You forgot: "We quite like you! We quite like you! You're our second favourite club, etc."
  9. Maybe, but Oxford Street will be dead on a Wednesaday night. There's half priced steak night at both Coco Rio and Marshals on a Wednesday!
  10. Have those of you that are suggesting that the away end move to Itchen North not actually thought that those of us who have STs there don't want to move? I choose to sit there as I can still sing and shout a bit without having to put up with the Northam! I have sat on all parts of the ground and sit in Itchen North as I much prefer it to any other parts. Yesterday was full of kids and families, I was at back of block 3 which is usually standing area, and there was someone with a baby on their lap, could hardly stand and chant. When both Northam and Itchen North are singing it works better than a lot of grounds with just one 'kop' end.
  11. As I posted before on the other Pelle thread: Was thinking of it's getting better all the time by Shed Seven for his chant? oh Pelles scoring all the time he got the goals to make us fly he will score for you popped into my head this evening, thought it might work and a bit more original than most
  12. The Spitfire lets both home and away in ad has decent enough beer, fairly cheap as well.

  14. Heads up that Marshals (was Chambers), London Road, is showing NFL, and other American sports.
  15. Need to find out if they'll switch some of the blocks back to the wings from the centre. In block 4 we were in the wings but last counted as centre, would like to know where we are this season!
  16. As mentioned above, there is no way the police would allow an Eastleigh v Skates at Silverlake, would be far too hard to split up the fans and coaches could too easily be attacked down Stoneham Lane. But getting ahead of ourselves here anyway, Eastleigh haven't got themselves promoted yet! ;-)
  17. Most sensible post I've read on here for a while. Don't see us getting standing, if it were allowed again, at St Marys until after expansion so we could still get as much money from seating so we would re-coup ticket money from lower prices in standing areas.
  18. Seen a couple in Turtle Bay having meal. Interestingly keep seeing Butterfield, thought he'd left!!
  19. In one! Obviously getting their excuses in early while the masses are given the usual bile. Sad their inferiority complex is so much they need constant praise and gratification via the Septic Isle media sycophants. Outside Pompey = no-one gives 5h1t
  20. Does this mean we'll go after Yank players now now we've cracked the Japanese market? In seriousness good to see us get exposure anywhere. Not seen it so much, even at the cup final it didn't feel we had as wide spread attention.
  21. Good value, go very hungry. But again all grilled not smoked/slow cooked.
  22. There are a few in London now, with one in Bristol and Brighton, but that's as close as there for a US BBQ round here! The American Diner thing has picked up again, but not BBQ. Pulled pork on Sunday at Wembley just reminded me again. This is my "if I won the lottery" to set one up! Would love a bluesy dive bar/smokehouse, just have to get a ticket! Oh well as said will get small smoker for home and do it myself!
  23. Right, am thinking about getting a BBQ smoker. Love the food and as we haven't got a smokehouse restaurants round here thought be good to try myself. Thought any of you might be BBQ officianados and give me some advice about decent smokers and cooking tips. Have some decent rubs & sauce just need the equipment now. Don't want to spend too far above £100, especially adding on wood chips, covers, etc. Any tips would be great.
  24. Mixed with this: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10702064.Plans_to_convert_historic_building_into_pub_and_brewery/?ref=mr Could turn out to be a decent little area.
  25. Properly spun a yarn, feels a bit sorry for him!
