  1. Ralph pointing to the stands. Warm up the subs or keep Jankewitz up there or I’ll fucking kill him?
  2. Absolute shite. What a waste of sitting down
  3. We’re a decent side missing some key components and out of form. Suspect we’ll press more at the weekend and hopefully start to reconnect a little
  4. Disappointing that this has basically ended any excitement in our league campaign. not got the press we usually do and I’m afraid 3/4 of our defence clearly aren’t first choice.
  5. Steady on Claude. I think that’s been tried before
  6. Result was harsh on us in my opinion. first half we were superb and throughout the game some of our one touch football was excellent. we had 12 academy players in that squad and that’s the difference. Leicester could bring on proven players who cost more than we spend in seasons. dissapointed as that could’ve given us some momentum but in context it’s not tragic.
  7. I think he is the problem too. When Walcott comes narrow to pick up a pass then KWP gets outside and creates and option. When djenepo gets narrow nobody helps him so he’s forced backwards or cross field
  8. I thought we were bang average first half but stepped up well in the second. Took a lot more control of the ball, pressed well and improved. Ings coming on gave us more movement and threat and Walcott did well on the left. Djenepo needs more time to get his all round game up to standard. Credit to the team for continuing to work their asses off at the end. Adam’s was back in our own half pressuring and winning challenges in the 93rd minute
  9. Theo to bag a late goal and go a give the big celebration in front of Lallana
  10. Wasn’t our best performance but in the first half we were nasty, niggly and made a real nuisance of ourselves. JWP yellow card took some of that away from us and I think it really had an effect. Second half we had a couple of patches but lost that edge that had kept Fernandes quiet and complaining and let him start to orchestrate things. Djenepo looks dangerous but no surprise that lots of danger comes down the left when he plays. Disappointed with how we lost our way. Few players were blowing hard around the hour mark too but no quality to come off the bench hampers us.
  11. 4-0 thrashing. Ralph will have the squad fired up and keen to impress off the back of their 30 minute snooze at Villa. Newcastle will have 11 in their own half from minute 1 and won’t know how to shift gear when behind.
  12. Hassenhuttl will surely be peed off with that end. We got really causal and aren’t good enough to do that. If we miss out on the champions league because of goal difference it’ll be frustrating
  13. BBC article about us said Long stormed down the tunnel today. Anyone know anything more about this? https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/54685092
  14. Very much this. West Ham played like we were the home side, letting us have the ball and looking to spring on the break. Same result as many of our home games, some good stuff, a lack of real quality hidden by work rate and dodgy at the back. Didn’t help that quite a few had poor games.
  15. Players executing the managers strategy rather than hiding and reverting to sideways and backwards passing. Fitness looks better and confidence is, naturally, much higher. Settled side doesn’t hurt either.
  16. Magic of the cup. One of the big teams will win it again anyway

    Che Adams

For the sake of comparison and perspective, Solanke cost Bournemouth £19m and scored his first goal after a year against Luton. Che cost less and is stepping up a level too. I think he needs to be given time and also the opportunity to play in a team that is playing well and creating. He played for us in a slump and then in a changed team that was trying to break down a very defensive Huddersfield.
  18. Skates at home and the big teams all drawing each other.
  19. Both teams are best when the opposition is expected to make things happen and like to play with pace on the break. Crap game where we can’t break them down and they break through zaha repeatedly. 1-1
  20. Same line up that played away to Arsenal. Get Obafemi high up a hit him with early balls. Press like crazy and hope for a break.
  21. Djenepo needs to get pulled. Redmond has been **** but at least he’s touching the ball and showing for it. Djenepo is always backing off or looking for the lump over the top. Get Boufal on so that we have some one who’ll turn and run at them and get us moving.
  22. If Armstrong is back it’ll make a difference. Fresh midfield legs to keep up the press and Boufal/Adams to push forward up top. 2-0 for me.
  23. Performance was there again except at the end. We need a mobile midfielder who can come on and keep the press going. We’ll stay up but it will be more stressful than it should when we do stuff like that.
  24. I’d pick Boufal every time because he always shows for the ball. Against Watford he gave an option where others had started disappearing. When the chips are down we need that.
  25. Anyone but Romeu in for Armstrong. We can’t come off the back of a pressing, high energy performance and bring back a DM who despite his merits, plods. Throw in a youngster for some energy and enthusiasm and stick Djenepo in for Obafemi as Watford won’t play high like Arsenal.
