  1. I know it's the FA cup but this 'magic' that surrounds it really doesn't apply to winning it. It applies to lower league teams getting a good draw and the occasional giant killing. As I said, it is a non event when you look at it closely - 12% won by teams outside of the 'big' 6 in 25 years...
  2. The FA cup is statistically a non event though. We won't win it. 3/25 FA cups since 1990 have been won by teams which aren't Utd, City,Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool. Sad to say but given our bad form I'd rather we use the cup to find some form, maybe rest up a few, try a few out. Not that bothered.
  3. Really? We're playing poorly and about to play a game which matters not a jot.
  4. Dear Santa, For Christmas this year I would like some new sheets and a waterproof mattress protector. Sincerely, Most People on this thread.
  5. They're all ****. Sell them all and get a new manager. Blood some youngsters instead. Plus other such bile and knee jerk tripe.
  6. I'd take a trade. Koeman Out, Jose in.
  7. I bloody love this!
  8. For sure hcdajfu. Lad was born to do it.
  9. Yes, he was a revelation for us though wasn't he? The point here is that Townsend reminds of how Puncheon played for us. Flashes of potential, a lot of cutting in onto his left foot and ultimately, not quite what we were hoping for.
  10. The new Jason Puncheon
  11. That you're a monumental bell end
  12. Attacking change. Hope Long finds some impact now Pelle is there to retain the ball for us
  13. You're right. Bolasie's shot was 'straight at him' and Cabaye's first effort was a veritable piec.e of cake
  14. I'm with you on this. Not only that but the force behind their renewed vigor this season cost 20+m and is apparently in line for a departure very shortly
  15. Boring. Go to the Eastleigh game instead.
  16. Apple and Oranges. Perhaps take a look at Mane and Tadic for more relevant information.
  17. I never said otherwise. Just commenting that I hate it, it lacks adventure for me but I understand that's not everyone values things the same way.
  18. I hate teams whose only plan is counter attacking football. Especially at home. Learn how to control possession and build up play for goodness' sake.
  19. Knee Jerk much?
  20. Shane Long showing why he doesn't deserve to start
  21. They sure are getting excited about the visit of Man City! They know it's the academy right?
  22. I was a season ticket holder during my three years in Plymouth. They weren't dire. Yes, there was some lowers league ****e to watch but they weren't a terrible side and could keep the ball on the ground as well as hit Mickey Evans with the big diagonal hoof.
  23. Having watched their dross on Saturday I dread to think what a game on a pitch recovering from that will look like....
  24. Because Gomis isn't good enough. He's been very quickly found out after a rip roaring start. Not enough goals in the side after that. Ayew is good, but as has been said, is more of a Mane than an out and out scorer.
  25. The bit which riled me most was ‘My opinion is I’d love a squeaky clean Leeds owner – but there are not that many out there,’ wrote Cooke. ‘In any case, it’s not as if he’s killed anyone and the politics in Italy are very different to the politics in this country. ‘As I said before, the critical thing for me is what better option than Cellino is there out there. I don’t see any.’ It would be harsh to use hindsight to destroy Cooke’s arguments. And also massively hypocritical and ironic.
