  1. Edited it for you
  2. Not that worried. We’ve started a much needed clear out which will no doubt continue in the summer. We’ve avoided any panic buys to appease the spend, spend, spend mentality and didn’t do anything stupid, like signing someone from MLS for 20 million quid.
  3. Palace played 11 in their own half for the whole second half. Our game has been based on winning the ball, going forward quickly and exploiting space. When there’s no space and the other team are here for the counter attack then that’s a challenge. It’s something we’ll have to learn to manage and something that reinforcements with actual pace will help with. Not the worst performance we’ve seen but did highlight a weakness we have with a limited squad. Point is better than none and keeps us moving the right direction.
  4. https://youtu.be/c92DlN4olYA I found this laughable and sums up why I don’t care that Cedric is leaving. There’s so little of note in this video. Clips which cut out before the cross is delivered, shots which miss and also a clip back from his time at a sporting. Less than 2 minutes of things to show.
  5. Now I know Ralph isn’t there anymore but I watched the Leipzig v Dortmund game this weekend. Leipzig’s fitness levels and intensity was unbelievable. They hassles and broke and pressed nonstop. If we end up getting even slightly close to their levels we’ll be fantastic to watch and a nightmare to play against
  6. Covered the most ground of any saints player today (stat, not opinion) after playing the full 120 on Wednesday. You can’t question the lads fitness levels!
  7. If you haven’t already watch ‘Sunderland til I die’. Makes it clear what transfer dealings are like when you’re in a slightly precarious position with an owner who isn’t putting money in. Players taking up squad spaces on big wages put other deals out of the question. In their case Jack rodwell was ruining them. We’ve got a squad that needs trimming so expecting a giant cash drop is completely deluded when we need to shift much deadwood
  8. Provided it’s Hoedt out then I’m all in favour
  9. Awesome result and a real chance now to drag Palace back down and create some space from the drop zone. We’ve got some momentum going our way at last!
  10. I’m going for a 4321 again in this game: McCarthy Cedric Bednarak Vestegaard Bertrand/Targett Romeu Lemina Hojbjerg Elyounoussi Armstrong Redmond
  11. So after two training sessions they’re upset? Nonsense This thread should be closed as it’s clearly made up Articles out today saying they’re impressed so far with what they’re seeing. Not that you’d expect anything else
  12. I don’t think it would’ve mattered. That could just as easily have been hoedt or Yoshi. Positive - full week of training for Ralph to start trying to sort this **** show out
  13. This. We’re not awful and at least there’s a glimmer of purpose and intent to play high and press.
  14. There’s an excellent picture in one of the galleries of Lemina looking like he’s already had enough! Bednarak in the background looks like he’s blowing too https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-12-06/ralph-hasenhuttl-new-southampton-manager-philosophy-approach
  15. I think we’ll win this. We make chances and they’re ****ter than us. Hopefully Hassenhuttl will have the players motivated and working hard to impress. 0-2
  16. No. A whole team approach to defending and pressing should ease the burden on our back line and we can see that there attacking quality there. Just need Ralph to use the games coming up (Cardiff aside) as a chance to get the team working his way and then get points from the rest
  17. Hasenhuttl, Can he fix saints? Hassenhuttl Yes he can! I hope it’s true too!
  18. I was surprised to see that Spurs haven’t drawn a league game yet. What better time to start than Wednesday? 1-1
  19. Did it go in? Then it’s a miss
  20. Hughes has said he’ll rotate which I don’t like. Stick out the best 11 you can, maybe with a couple of tweaks (Hoedt and Austin) and get these guys going and try to get the winning feeling back. If we win we’ll end up with someone like JWP or Romeu playing OK and winning a place against Utd which theyll invariably **** up.
  21. Decent start without the goal we need, again
  22. Also applies to many of this forums regulars
  23. 4231 McCarthy Cedric Yoshi Hoedt Targett Hoj. Lemina Gabbi. Armstrong. Redmond Ings?/Gallagher
  24. I’ve said before that Bournemouth will be ‘best of the rest’, lose a couple of key players and hit the slippery slope down. Wilson will be the first out I suspect.
  25. My proposal would be this: Any team that’s been in the premier league during his time should pay a % of the £5m based on the amount of seasons they spent in the league. The teams who have spent the most time in the league will pay the most. Seems fair given the rise in TV revenue. Champions league clubs should contribute further due to the 4 spots the premier league gets. Then money will be deducted for every team that dropped out of the premier league and was subsequently placed into administration, went under or had to be bought out. The deduction should be equivalent to the tax bill/money owed at time of administration. If it ends up being a negative total he can go shove his bonus up his arse due to the negative effect of his tenure on teams. If it’s positive then Chelsea can pay it from their oil money. Or city can pay it to somehow offset their FFP and cheat the league further.
