  1. Really heartened by the performance but that should’ve been dead and buried. We hassled and broke with actual purpose today only to fall at the last, again. Got to take that energy and attitude into the next run of games.
  2. Would love to know what all the armchair pundits on here think our formation and team should be? Obafemi aside, who I assume is there purely for pace in transition, what better options do we have? Romeu is too slow to press and the bench is hardly packed with players deserving a start.
  3. Have a word with yourself. Unbelievable.
  4. Why play 3 at the back if no one knows who they’re marking? Stevens and Danso have had words about that already this match.
  5. Can’t be any worse. Play the 4222 that might work best. Anyone A right back Not Stephens or Vestegaard. Someone who plays LB PEH. Armstrong Boufal Redmond Adams Ings Bench: Anyone who gives a **** and deserves it
  6. The main concern has to be that teams who get humped like that are always in deep decline. They never bounce back and finish mid table.
  7. I think we’ll be ok. The fact that two wins (I know, I know, one win would be nice, let alone two!) puts you in the top 10 shows how crap the league still is outside of the usual contenders.
  8. Really solid performance, albeit with limited threat, and then classic defensive cluster f. What a waste.
  9. We definitely deserve to be compared with Bayern
  10. I’ll be interested to see how sold out this weekends game is and how long before they turn on Jackett.
  11. I thought we managed that well. They huffed early doors and we defended what they threw at us, not always convincingly but defend it we did. After that they puffed a lot and we controlled play. Great goals and play from Ings today. Midfield was solid and a little niggly which was nice to see. That back 4 is the one to stick with for me. Don’t think Adams deserves any stick. Once again he’s put in a 90 minute shift, keeps running and trying to the end and played an immaculate through ball for Ings in the first half that should have seen a goal from him or Hoj on the rebound. He’s got the potential and it’ll come. Fantastic win and hope it gives us something to build on in terms of results and confidence.
  12. Poor effort there. Never a pen. Go back to counting days since we beat a top 6.
  13. I just want us to take something from them today. Mostly I want it to be points but I'd also accept injuries to VVD/Mane/Salah to spoil their run in. 1-1 draw. Long to scuff an equaliser
  14. Unbelievable win and huge given Cardiff’s result. We’re only 7 points behind Everton which is remarkable given their spending and having the wonder manager Silva in charge. Would be great to see them get dragged further into the **** but can’t see it. Thought Yoshida and Vestegaard we’re both excellent and suspect at the same time. Some really good defending and some shocking decision making and lack of pace show why we can’t stick with them if we want to progress. Austin and Long are done. Redmond, sims and Armstrong will do for me. Hope we can keep this momentum up, finish we’ll, bank some prize money and spend it on recruits!
  15. Draw puts us safe by goal difference. Small victories and all that
  16. We must show that the warm weather training was worth it and press the crap out of Fulham from the off. Get the crowd going, get them on their heels and make something happen. 3-0 Saints
  17. What a bunch of miserable bar stewards! We beat them and they get all cry baby about it. The one guy posting that Ralph isn’t better than Hughes is the best. Absolute ignorance from someone who evidently doesn’t watch anyone other than his own team through rose tinted specs. Hopeful we’ll get a draw 1-1
  18. I had no idea that Redmond was still only 24. Glad he’s starting to show what he’s capable of and has a manager who’s going to drive him on. Hopefully part of a brighter future for us.
  19. Indeed! So rational that none of this forums usual tripe has appeared in reply.
  20. Try out the 4222 that we intend to play against Fulham at home. Gunn Valery Yoshida Bednarak Bertrand Romeu Hojbjerg Redmond Armstrong Obafemi Long/Austin
  21. He’s probably got faith in himself, his coaching staff and his players and is willing to work hard to get results. A little positivity goes a long way.
  22. People need to get a grip on themselves. We’re playing another side with absolutely no ambition at all who’ll be happy to leave without getting beaten. We’ve not been great but it’s tough to find a gap and Stephens and Vestegaard are getting as far forward as our other midfielders at times just to provide options and try to open space. I suspect we’ll see a forward thinking change, perhaps losing JWP for Austin/Gallagher
  23. Replace Long now before it’s too late
  24. Reckon today is the day for Elyounoussi to show something. On for JWP and create something at long last.
  25. Completely agree. Since the ‘guaranteed’ picks of old have all disappeared RH has built an improving, coherent team that hasn’t lost since the Cardiff game. RH clearly doesn’t suffer egos or nonsense. Bertrand doesn’t deserve to come right back in and I don’t think it’s a given he’ll just leapfrog Targett because he is fit again.
