Ralph's tactics are the problem. Just watch the next game and look at how much space we are leaving in midfield. He's pushing them up too far to press too aggressively. It looks great when it pays off but when it doesn't, the opposition are one pass away from completely taking our midfield out of the equation and leaving our under par defence completely exposed. Unless he changes something (which he's shown he can't do) then we will go down and there will be a couple more humiliating defeats in store as well.

There we go people. As I've said a million times. He expects too much of the midfield as he gets them to push up so high that a simple through ball or ball over the top has 3 or 4 of their players rushing at our defence. You don't even need to be good as long as you have pace. Nobble the workhorse marshaling the midfield and Antonia running at us. Two average players whilst Ralphs kamikaze tactics gift them every opening they need.

NewHonestly these players can just get ****ed. Absolute pile of ****. Most of them don't deserve to wear the shirt and draw a wage. Cedric can **** right off and Hoijbjerg has turned to ****. No one can pass the ****ing bal 5 yards. The only two decent players we have are Ings and Boufal.

I'm not saying our defence isn't a problem, just that in my opinion it isn't the biggest problem. If we had a decent screen in front of the defence then they wouldn't make half the mistakes they do. That said, I take your point on the passing. It's terrible and we do need a decent Cb as what we have isn't good enough.

Our defence isn't the biggest problem. It's our midfield and it's all to do with tactics. Ralph likes his teams to win the ball high up the pitch, so he will get the midfield to push up high. The defence doesn't push up as high (for good reason) so it leaves a huge gap. Teams then overrun us in midfield and we are often left with a 3v3 or 3v2 situation. When the defence is running back towards goal like that, you'll get way more mistakes and it's happening to us several times a game. There's needs to be a balance between the press and keeping the midfield tight. Atm he doesn't have the balance right so when we lose the ball or miss a chance, one ball over the top and we are being counter attacked with ease. Don't get me wrong, the defence has been woeful this season but these factors don't help them at all.

I'm happy he's doing well up there. Hopefully they buy him. His wages are ****ing ridiculous because Les gave him a new contract less than a year after he'd just signed a new contract. We need him off the books and let's be honest, he really isn't that good!

It's all well and good blaming the owners and recruitment staff (both deserve a lot of criticism) but when you are ****ing around putting attacking midfielders at wing back whilst leave wingbacks on the bench and playing them on their weaker side then you're asking for trouble. It's something he's done a lot and hasn't learned one bit from it at all. Some of his formations/selections and subs have been absurd to say the least. For that, he deserves to be crticised. He needs to learn fast but i'm afraid he's lost the dressing room by the sounds of it.

That was ****ing brilliant. I'm not going to dissect the performance as it really didn't matter. The score was the most important part of this game. We played well against them up to a point when they done us 4-1 but nobody cares. All you hear about is the scoreline. Danny Ings has written himself into saints legend. Born in Southampton and scores 2 goals away from home against them in the fratton end. Brilliant stuff. The 4-1 digs are now done and gone. They will have to fall back on their two league titles when the world had just had a war and their FA cup that cost them their club.

I am absolutely ****ting a brick over this game now. This game could kick start their season and even though we were 2 leagues below them, they've never let us forget the 4-1. Lose this and this generation of Saints fans will never live it down and will never be allowed to forget it. Time for our players to step the **** up and write themselves into Saints folklore!!!
