In the last 5 games we've had 22 shots on target. That's only 4 less than City. Creating chance isn't our problem. It's firstly having a striker than can put the chances away. Long is not and never will be the answer. The second problem is what we do once we do score a couple of chances. Sitting back so deep is suicidal and it can't happen again. It's happened too many times already this season. Pellegrino needs to learn.

Will hopefully be doing his medical this week. He's the type of player we've been crying out for since Lambert and then Pelle left. He doesn't score many goals but neither did Pelle and Lambert in the PL. He will bring more to the table though, just like those two did. He can hold up the ball well and bring our wide players and midfielders into play a bit more. That's why our midfielders used to get a few goals when we had this type of striker up top. 6 goals from now until the season is done would be a fair return imo.

If we can just scrape to safety this season, I think there'll be some serious investment in the squad and next season will be better. If we are relegated, then we'll struggle to get back up for a few years imo.

Yeah, I hate to say it but Davis is done as a starter for me now. He looks so jaded and it genuinely looks like each game is an effort for him. Great servant but needs to be a bench option and nothing more now.
