I think the thing that sticks with me is the fact we took the £3m instead of keeping him until the end of the season. Did we need £3m that much?!

Be very interesting to see how J Rod does next season. He had a poor season under Adkins but came alive under Poch. Roko obviously has a different style plus J Rod is coming back from a very serious injury.

The issue was the fact that saints let until 6 months before the end if his contract before offering a new one, it hardly showed much faith did it especially considering Steven Davis was given a new contract before him! I said at the time that keeping Cork until the end of the season would of been far more beneficial to us than the £2m we got for him!

Poor Gazza must wonder why every time he pulls on the shirt his defenders abandon him!!

Eden Hazard goes down very easily more often than not but because he's labeled a world class player nobody says a word!

I'm also a coach and that was the most impressive thing for me when MoPo replaced NA. I noticed it within minutes of his first game at home to Everton. I literally couldn't believe what i was seeing, what should of taken months (some coaches even longer) he got it working in 2 weeks! Even Jason Puncheon was pressing all over the place!

I've been watching since 91 and imo Toby is the best defender we've had in those 24 years. Fonte is my player of the season because he's played out of his skin, Toby has missed a few games but appears to play well within himself and makes everything look totally effortless!!

Nothing is done by accident at this level, the pitch will be watered the right amount to the nearest ml!

Trippier has a terrific delivery but isn't in the same league defensively as Clyne. I'd expect to unearth another foreign import with a point to prove.

Gazza in this side would be a very different prospect to his last run in the first team. I'd bet that we are still up there in the conceding the least shots on target this season so he'd have a lot less to do then last time.

That palace game was certainly not comfortable! Probably the most nervous I've been in any saints victory this season!

We looked a lot less convincing defensively and no more convincing attacking wise so no I don't think it worked. To say it worked because we went 1-0 up doesn't really really tell the true tale really does it? We've gone 1-0 in front plenty of times this season against similar opposition and with Vic and Morgan playing together.

But the 'tactic' didn't work! We didn't create anymore chances that we do when they both play. Whether Ron was hoping not to need Vic or was hoping to protect his yellow card situation I'm not sure but it was an experiment that didn't work. They had far more chances than us and deserved to go in at ht in front. If that was the tactic then it wasntva very good one!

I thought that for the Burnely game at home, we were toilet until half time when he came on. Vic seems to look ok without Morgan next to him but the other way round Morgan looks a bit lost to me?!

Silva isn't a winger and Navas isn't top class!

Be interesting to see if Ronald goes for the 3-5-2 again? Worked a treat against Everton in the home game this season.

Trippier isn't good enough defensively imo, Bertrand gave him a torrid time 2nd half yesterday and Ryan is only a FB! Imagine a top class winger going at him for 90 mins.
