These players need to start taking responsibility! Too many inconsistent performers this season, can't blame the manager for that.

You can't deny that we do have a better squad then 4 seasons ago, do we have a great squad? No, but he's right in saying that we can now cope with injuries/suspensions and not get relegated. That is a sign of a decent established prem side. We're building slowly and I have no problem with that!

Just goes to show how much top level football is in the mind and decision making. Eden Hazard being the classic example, has all the same technical attributes that Boufal has but his decision making is 10x better. If I was on the saints coaching staff I'd seriously sit him down and show him a load of clips of Hazard and tell him that's the player he should model himself on.

I imagine JRod will start in if it's to bring our average team height up an inch or 2!

Which kind of answers the question really, we don't play with a 10, Davis is our number 8 but his goal scoring record is woeful.

Real quality number 10's are very difficult to come by, Lampard will go down as one of the best we've ever seen due to his goals but people forget his work rate and amount of tackles/interceptions per game. You won't get the same from converted wingers in my humble opinion!

We generally try hard to look after our academy graduates rather than discarding them like a piece of rubbish! I'm happy the club gave him another year, it was a pretty low risk strategy that hadn't really paid off but gave him the chance to do so.

Centre backs cover nowhere near the same amount of distance as the rest of the side, it's not rocket science!

Its thanks to rotation/injury that Sam McQueen has had opportunities, same for the other academy graduates.

Can't have it all, large squads with quality players need games. 3 games in 6 days not only provides people with a rest but also opportunities for others

We don't all have access to what happens on the training pitch and the data that the sports science guys collect and constantly look through. At this level nothing is left to chance so you can bet that team that stats will be the manager feels is in the best form/condition for the team we're facing.

Jwp strikes the cleanest ball so I'd be happy for him to step up. Although, with our current rotation policy we'll need 3/4 regular takers
