Saints sign young Czech striker Tomas Pekhart on loan from Spurs
OldNick replied to Wildgoose's topic in The Saints
you are kidding. If not have you seen the games and the saves our number 1 has made ? ps did you see the howler Wright made for Ipswich on saturday, if KD had done that he'd be slaughtered on here. -
on another note Reading bought a LB yesterday and so Surman will most likely stay.

FC, I understand your reservations but something I dont understand is this what happens in bad weather. If you can pass and move and are bright and comfortable with a football, you adapt. Remember Derby baseball ground, there was more mud than grass and they won the league and were not hoofers. If the team has energy and the fight I cant see the problem. The real worry for me is the next week and january transfer windows, that is more likely to trip us up.

this thread has brought my mind back to when Jan was apppointed. Somebody put up his past record and that set the fans against him early doors. Thankfully (at present time)he has shut the doubters up and many have drifted away awaiting their time to have a go again.

you didnt you support the Skates

Well there you go then, its wednesday. I am almost happpy it hasnt because the takeover would disrupt our experiment with the youth.

I think you will find we have another player lined up.Down to getting things finalised, another continental player.Know no more than that, so dont bother asking. -
All the nonsense on here when he was signed by fans saying their Derby mate say he's gash or if SFC need him we are in trouble.
-
Hardly creaming over the result, you will IMO finish in the top half. Its just interesting that your transfer budget seems to have dried up.

It is scientifically a fact , it was in the Sunday Sport, QED and John Cravens Newsround
-
was that part of the keep Britain tidy campaign. Why did they eject the most intelligent of your fans. The prawn sandwich brigade that has taken over your club obviously didnt like it.
-
its not the ones who drive in from outside but the ones born in that little introverted islandy thingy that is Pompey. They can all trace their families back to 2 people in about 1650. They were 2 sailors from a Spanish galleon Carlos the Uphill gardener and his half brother Mary.

every game is attended by 30000 fans!!!! whoever was bigging the club up was a little over the top. -
Name rings a bell, but I was only there about a year before I was pulled away from my mates and thrown into a new school. Mr Broomfield Mr Holt I remember the former was a scary git that nearly ran me over (my fault) who did Technical drawing.
-
YOu haven't been back to counter my version. Why is that then?

Pes is correct in some ways as the Pompey residents are like no other. If you lined up a lot of Skates from the centre of Pompey I could pick them without them talking. They are a throw back to Nelsons days when the worlds Navy's visited Portsmouth and bu#####d the men and women inhabitants. You just have to look at them and see their jet back greasy hair and their unusual dialect and they stand out like a sore thumb. It is unfair to Pikeys to let them be mistaken for Skates. My daughter has a better expreesion for them 'Carnies', basically fair ground workers, you can imagine them running the Dodgems.

Someone was ringing one last night, unless they had a group of lepers in to swell the gate.
-
I left in 1973 to move to Hounsdown (the only bonus was it was a mixed school.)
-
I dont feel good about tonight I feel utds injury situation and Pompeys home advantage may take its toll.
-
Saga and Rasiak missed sitters and we should have scored. You are right Teale did change the game , but sometimes it is hard to dictate or counteract players who are in a purple patch. I remeber Solano doing the same in the relegation season v Villa
-
Fergie just said 'into the Rabbits hutch.' Lol as he went into the changing rooms.
-
is there a play off? We're gonna walk this league

Well a collegue was at a meal with LC and another director and it came from the horses mouth. That was just after LC stated we the bank would support us. And the bank also know that there are 10-15 clubs who also will be in the running for promotion and so wont risk anymore unless it is backed by prudent financial decisions.
-
whats he got to sacrifice, it wont be his saturdays with his mates at SMS
-
You are in dreamland, we tried spinning the roulette wheel and lost. The bank told LC that they'd only support the club if we sell all we could.
