do you think that Drew looked any better? To me Drew was worse than James.
-
PES what are the odds of Pompey finishing 5th with the bookies, any idea? I fancy them to do so.

Derry we have had many run ins but at no time have I taken it personally but understand it is down to either of our opinions. Not to deliberately to wind each other up. Others need to have back what they give and so when a weak spot is found some not only whine and moan about Saints but they moan and whine to the admins that it is not fair.

On tuesday im told the defence were solid against Brum. Perhaps yesterday we were pushing to attack and left us open.Again, the younger players have to be clinical and get their noses in front or it will cost them dear.
-
I agree he was a threat.he hasnt played much and so a bit rusty.Stern had another good chance form a header and of course Lallanas chances.Whoever scored first today was going to win.We ddint take our chances to go 1 up and that proved costly.

I dont think the ref had a bad day in the main.I did object to the fact they people have written books quicker than they did subs. There was only 4 mis added time (not that it would have made any difference) but Hammil took over a minute to get off the pitch let alone the subs.

Certain posters ie Scooby are said to be trolls and even said to be Pompey fans.Wheras some posters come on feeding off bad results or fears to intentionally bait people when the frustration is that the height to tell us a player who has been a talisman may have got injured again or try and move the position that they were right by taking a few posts and using those as chapter and verse. I would be more inclined to believe that they are more likely to be Pompey fans trying to twist the knife. There are lots of depressives in the population but there are some posters who try and make a negative of everything. In my time posting from Saintsforever to the present time some have been anti the club/manager/chairman EACH AND EVERY TIME. It is a pattern that disturbs me and so we should be aware that some posters find it a game to come on to wind up the majority of fans. It is very easy to throw a grenade in amongst a lot of passionate fans whose blood is up to get them up in arms and create arguements. It in turn makes them a celebrity and in a sad way to have a little fame in a very small forum as they are mentioned many times. Its almost a craving for a recognition in life. Thankfully on the lounge a Skate has disappeared and has been replaced by one who has humour and humility. I had hoped the same would have happened on the main board.

Every cloud has a silver lining

Again a lot of what you say is true. You say a lot of fans have moved on, well that is their choice. I have Saints ingrained in to me from 8 years old and so it is a way of life.I have now accepted that Saints are not the be all and end all in life, but I go to the game with my daughter and it is the only time that I get time with her now she has moved to her own home.So therefore it would not only be not seeing Saints I would lose out in other ways. If we become successful again I hope a lot of the old fans as well as young return. At present I will carry on supporting them. As for the tea with Baj etc Im washing my hair that day

yeah a last minute goal at Cardiff is being bullied out of the game. Alpine you were nowhere last week, you do yourself no favours coming on to Whine when we lose but disappear aftre a good result.
-
I cant believe that Killer has been dropped in your and others reckoniing already. Boy we do people a chance.Thomas was said to be useless a week ago and now hes the replacement for our captain.
-
Are you sure? Morgan is 18
-
is he your half brother. No sign of you last week

Thanks for the lecture.I have a very good marriage (25years last month) and a great strong family so I dont need to worry on that. Your point about losing the kids as fans is pertinent, but until we get successful that will carry on. What we need to do is be united and really support this younmg side.Yes they played poorly today but it was likely to happen.Jan said last saturday that he'd like to have played Blackpool monday and Brum tuesday, that would have been better for us. You watched it todayand would you accept that had we gone 1 up Blckpool would have been up against it and may have flagged in the heat.Lallana had 2 good chances and should have scored. He is young and so I forgive the same as White for conceeding the penalty.Im not happy about it but I owuld nt boo them because of it. ps Are you trying to get me to 5000 posts ps you are correct about not posting the video.
-
Why do you feel you need to show your disappointment?Do you not think the players know they let themselves down today? If we had won I wouldnt have expected the fans to run on the pitch in merriment. We will have lots of performances up and down, why you think that we are going to be class every game surprises me. IMO whoever scored first in the heat and after 3 games so quickly would win.It was really draining on the Northam let alone running around playing football.
-
I always thought the original thread was a bit premature but some fans on both sides are nursing wounds and want to thrash out when they have the opportunity
-
wheres the video? As that is why you said you were not going. Iam not the sheep as the majoprity are moaning and whining about a defeat. Im pleased you are happy doing other things. You obviously are not missing going.
-
and so booing will lift the players confidence. The ctiicism was not at the final whistle there were groans and moans throughout the 2nd half. The fans attitude has not changed from last season, as soon as things go wrong they are getting all restless. It helps no-one by booing and I know from experience, kids in sports heads drop as their own expectations are as much if not more than the others. They need to bereassured that they are doing ok and when things are going badly they need that even more.
-
I hope your user name stays as 'stay away Saint' we dont need fans with that type of attitude. ps you never showed us that video evidence
-
My head tells me you are right and my heart that we will be mid table.
-
you are wrong I did not say NP was #### . Its about time fans understood that with a side full of kids you are going to have up and down performances. Why do fans come on glorying in our demise? Stand back and assess the fact that we have played 3 games in a week.Whoever scored first today was going to struggle to get back into the game.If Lallana had a chance go in ,Blackpool would have struggled in the heat to get back into the game and the kids would have passed the ball better as they would have relaxed a little.
-
it gets more and more comical on here.He is rusty and hardlt played , he still caused problems and more than Jamie White
-
you are right but why is it always hang ourselves when we lose utter jubiilation if we win?
-
you have every right to boo, but the majpority of clubs fans would realise that we had a team of kids, and they played 3 games in a week and would have accepted that. My wife told me the tv commentators were critical of our fans and I for 1 agree..Whoever scored first in this game would tire in the heat
